Well, if it makes you feel any better, Disney's California Adventure is getting a Monsters, Inc. dark ride sometime next year, I believe. I agree that The Jungle Book would be a better Tarzan Rocks substitute than Finding Nemo, especially since the Magic Kingdom is getting an underwater Nemo ride sometime within the next two years (where 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea used to be).

I never did the 20,000 Leagues ride...or at least I don't remember it. When is that supposed to open, anyway?

And I won't be going to CA anytime soon, so no, it doesn't make me feel better DL/DCA is getting a Mon Inc dark ride.

Oh great not MORE Nemo!

When I went to Animal Kingdom, I didn't get to see Tarzan Rocks, but it sounded interesting. But I loved the Lion King show!

And they're also turning the submarines into a Finding Nemo theme! That's makes NO SENSE! What does Nemo have to do with Tomorrow? I'd perfer an Atlantis ride.

Well at least it's not as bad as replacing Mr. Toad with Pooh! Which I still hate!

BRING BACK MR. TOAD!!!

I love the POOH ride. And Disney needed a Pooh attraction!

Removing Mr. Toad - as much as I loved the film, was wise. The current generation doesn't know who those characters are. Everyone knows Pooh.

C'mon Pooh didn't have pictures of naked ladies! Pooh didn't let you drive in front of a train. Pooh didn't send you to hell!

You know the current generation doesn't know who who alot of the greatest actors are. Does that mean we should throw alot of the classic films in the garbage?

And also Splash Mountain has characters less people are familiar with! Yet that attraction still lives. So since DisneyWorld has so much space, why couldn't they build it somewhere else?

I've heard the Jungle Book and Nemo rumors for replacing "Tarzan Rocks" at Animal Kingdom...

"Tarzan Rocks" was actually a replacement for a Jungle Book stage show, so I don't see them bringing it back (although I'd like them to, because I never got to see it).

No one has mentioned it, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a Brother Bear stage show (Disney can't let Phil Collins get too far away

). 101 Dalmatians would be another possibility.

I actually like the Brother Bear idea. The only thing Brother Bear that they have is that play area at California Adventure. It also fits to the animal theme better than Nemo!

Well at least we'll have Toad in California(unless they replace it with a Home on the Range ride!

I believe that I heard that Disney were toying with the idea of a 101 Dalmatians stage show, as I remember the British press mentioning it. I can't see the idea of it being good. I think a curse may be connected with 101 Dalmatians and England; just look at this awful poster for the film from ol' Blighty:

For anyone is interested (I know some people mentioned trips to New York City soon), the Tony nominations were announced today. Basically, the Tonys honor new plays and musicals (or new revivals) that opened in the past theater season, so they're a good guide as to what to see if you're in the Times Square location. The eligibility period was from last summer to this May. Obviously, the most recognizeable of the musical nominees is the Oprah Winfrey-produced version of The Color Purple. From what I have heard, the musical is only so-so, but the lead performances are supposed to be incredible. As expected, the roles that earned Whoopi Goldberg, Margaret Avery, and Whoopi Goldberg Oscar nominations for the film version were again honored here. However, there are better reviewed productions in the mix, so its 11 Tony Nominations may end up imitating the story's 11 Oscar Nominations, ending up with zero wins. That would be ironic, and sad, because it's a nice story. In other news, the Broadway production of Disney's Tarzan was completely shut-out. It was indeed eligible for this season's awards despite its late opening. I expected as much. You have problems when people are swinging through the air on fake vines in a Broadway theater of all places. If no one is worried about Tony nominations, then definately go see Tarzan because it's almost certain to be closing by the end of the year. I would also HIGHLY recommend the revival of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeny Todd. It's his mastpiece, and it has been revamped in a new minimalist orchestration, so if you don't catch it now, you may never see this version of the musical again. Anyway, those are my recommendations. I wish I could get up there myself. Sadly, I've been MIA on Broadway the past two seasons.

Colour Purple, Sweeny Todd, Tarzan ... Sounds like Broadway is suffering the same remake-itis that Hollywood is suffering from!

Well, maybe the Colour Purple musical will win some of the awards that failed to go to the film back in the day!

Glad to see TCP being recognized, though I can comment only on the soundtrack, which I like overall. Too bad Whoopi wasn't in the show to finally get the Best Actress award she so deserved! (At least she has the Golden Globe, I suppose).

Not surprising about Tarzan actually.

Thought is what going to have troubles adapting on stage. Also, do they characters sing the songs? Because I actually tried to picture characters singing in that movie, and I couldn't imagine it NOT turning out comic-relief.

When I went to NY this past Spring Break, I went to see TLK. It was AWESOME. I would watch it again anytime.

Once there, in the intermission I asked one of the employees about TARZAN and he told me that he was told it wasn't very good.

Is Disney honestly stupid? When I was watching some bonus feature on the Collector's Edition, someone said that animating Tarzan was the best way to make a film, because any live action person would probably sustain terrible injuries, or even die, because Tarzan does some very un-human like things, that no one could ever do. Wow, Disney kind of strayed away from the: "I Am Very Smart" path.

Yes, the characters do sing the songs. Phil Collins doubled the number of songs, I think, for the stage show. I'm pretty sure they came off really awkward.
