I really never looked forward to seeing this movie when it came out. It looked ridiculous and I didn't like the style at all. It seemed so, un-Disney. Reminded me of El Dorado (shudder).
I don't recall seeing it the first time. I think I rented it for my daughter and didn't pay it any mind. The we watched it again at some point and that time, I paid attention. It still isn't near my top ten list, but I certainly found it entertaining and funny.
And yeah, Kronk was my favorite. I like big, dumb guys. He reminded me a bit of Brendan Fraser's George of the Jungle
