Well, I was actually rather excited about this movie, then thinking about it made me realize it would be BORING. I don't remember exactly how it went, but I think the first idea was to have ALL the characters in Fantasia 2000 instead of Donald Duck's segment. Then they were going to do all the Disney princess' children graduating kindergarten
It was cancelled. animated-movies.net has some information, I believe.

Well, it is possible that it might still happen... the last I heard was that they were having story problems, and that they were still trying to work out the CGI Mickey model, so they may have "canceled" it for now, while they work out all the bugs...
I think a movie like Kingdom Hearts, which I believe was, if still not, being planned, and I thought the game was cool, and it is neat to have a whole bunch of disney characters from different movies all in one place, I mean there is House of Mouse, but I think something like Kingdom Hearts would be better... The one trhing I did not like about the search for Mickey thing was the star- Basil...
But if it were Donald and Goofy, and maybe even Horace Horse-Collar looking for Mickey, then that would be cool...

Defy Gravity
But they are doing a Kingdom Hearts TV series

Mousehole.net reports that the sequel to Kingdom Hearts for Playstation 2 was officially announced by Andy Mooney, Chairman of Disney Consumer Products Worldwide, at the Games Convention in Leipzig, Germany. Mooney added that Disney was considering adding a TV series to the Kingdom Hearts franchise. Thanks to 'Heather' for the heads up.

I agree, but I think the major problem was that the writers just couldn't think of a convincing way to have them all in the same film without just going "Hey look! It's Bambi...we have to go over there now, I think I can see Simba...". In other words, it had to be convincing.Todd_star wrote:I think it sounds good to have a bunch of

Mind you, a feature length House of Mouse could work!

I think something like Mickey's Christmas Carol shows that it is possible to have a story with lots of Disney characters. You just need to find or write a story with characters in it that can be "played" by established Disney characters.
Then backgrounds can include Disney characters too.
I like how Mickey's Christmas Carol seemed to stick with 'English' Disney characters in the backgrounds. For example characters from Mr Toad and Robin Hood.

Mickey Mouse Movie
I don't know the plot sounds really
It sounds like a Mickey Mouse remake of Great Mouse Detective. I will not be wasting my money to go see it if it does come out. I mean who wants to see it. I have heard a few other things about it from a friend I have who works at Disney. And it just sounds pure pathetic. I will for sure be seeing Mickeys Twice Upon A Christmas Instead of this anyday.

I remember reading somewhere that this film was going to be released as the 50th animated classic. I don't know which number "Home On The Range" is, but if it's 49, then it could be coming next winter. It sounds so cool. I think I heard 2006 as the release year, but I'm not sure. The fact that Imdb.com lists it's status as "unknown" dosen't make it sound like it will be ready by the end of this year. Once an animated film goes into production, it usually takes 3 years. If it's status was listed as "in production," then I'd be expecting it in 2007, but I hope it's 2006 because that means we're a whole year closer to seeing it! I can't wait.
It's 44th.goofystitch wrote:I remember reading somewhere that this film was going to be released as the 50th animated classic. I don't know which number "Home On The Range" is
