Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles DVDs
I just bought Volume 5 of the original Ninja Turtles series on DVD, and I was suprised that it came with a slip cover. I know volume 1 came with one, but did volumes 2-4 come with slip covers? Its would be weird if only the 1st and 5th volumes came with a slip cover but the others didn't. please advise.

It turns out this will be 3 disc set with 18 Classic Episodes.. It will either be released August 7th or August 14th but www.tvshowsondvd.com is going with www.dvdempire.com release of August 7th because on that same day debuting on DVD will be TMNT the CGI Ninja turtles... And according to www.tvshowsondvd.com TMNT the CGI Movie will be also coming out on Blu Ray and HD-DVD.. Turtles Surf High Def... Totally shell shocking (we could go on all day with all the tubular radical phrases but I shall move on)
In order to prove this that TMNT the CGI Movie is coming to DVD Blu Ray Disc and HD-DVD they have supplied cover art.... which cover art for the TMNT movei and better cover art for the Classic Season 5 can be found at the link below...

That's so cool! I only have vol 1 so far because I just keep finding other things I need to buy. I was also hoping that Seasons 1-3 would get a proper season set box rather than the volumes, I don't like that.
I'll be picking this up eventually for sure! It was one of my favourite shows when I was little. I don't mind the change in packaging because they all look different. I hate when a show or movie series changes their packaging half way through releases though ... that annoys me because then they dont look like they belong together on the shelf. Simpsons did this with season 7 I think.. at least the Canadian packaging looks different.

Haha! That's actually a pretty cool looking box!
I already have Volumes 1-4 (Seasons 1, 2, and half of 3) and I still need to pick up Volumes 5 & 6 (the rest of season 3) and the season 4 set.

But the thing that makes Woody special, is he'll never give up on you... ever. He'll be there for you, no matter what.

Re: CLASSIC TMNT Pizza Box Season 5 Set Coming soon to DVD!!
It says Augustdisneyboy20022 wrote:but my question is WHEN WILL IT BE RELEASED?

I don't know... The box actually says "Pizza" on it. I'm sure they could have designed it without saying it's Pizza and still made it look like a pizza box. I don't think it looks that cool. But hey, if you love the show...
I expected TVshowsonDVD would have said it, and I'm too lazy to look it up (
), but what year(s) did the 5th season run? Any rabid fans here know?

Off topic, but does anyone remember the Samurai Pizza Cats?
They deserve a comeback. Or maybe they don't. Haven't seen them since the original run, and it is entirely possible they would scare the pizza out of me these days.

No... don't remember them.. and no they don't deserve a comeback.. I don't even know if they should be allowed to flow on the internet.....Although the net is basicly a Graveyard for failed Cartoons such as teh Samurai Pizza Cats until they hit dvd... Although I think they were just a feline rip of TMNT... What came first the Turtle or the Cat??

Anyway now I willl try to get back on topic...

Yes, TMNT season 5 will have 18 episodes from that season.
CBS showed Planet of the Turtleoids in prime time and was an hour.
It seems that Planet of the Turtleoids will be showed as an hour instead of two parts like in Saturday morning reruns.
Loomis Samurai Pizza Cats was so lame I only watch one episode then stop watching.

While this is good news this also means I need the first 5 seasons as well. Of course it also means that I'll never see this dvd because the stores here only carry....well nothing actually they very rarely get anything decent there's more crap movies here than normal ones it seems
Oh well guess I'll have to find a store that actually knows how to order things in which might take a while at least I have until April to find one
