As much as I want to hear the commentary track, I cant be bothered to sell my current Region 2 version of SB and buy the R1 version. But now that SB has been added with a commentary I will probably always wait for the region 1 sets for 2 disc DVDs.

Very glad that Alice, Pocahontas and Lilo are official definately buying those. Could someone please scan the page that says this.

Do you have WinDVD and the ability to make screencaps? If so, it would make a nice addition to the site, and I'd appreciate it. After all, I'm certainly not going to get an early copy to do a review or anything.

it would be cool if someone could post some screencaps of the R2 DVD than for comparison...

Has there been any referances to a Platinum release of SB at all in the commentary or extra features, etc? Has nobody gotten clarity on this yet?

The new Sleeping Beauty sneak peek on Stitch! the movie makes no reference to Platinum. Then again, the new Lion King sneak Peek on the same disc doesn't call it a Platinum Edition either.

Guys, I really think you're all reading to much into this Platinum thing. Disney Home Entertainment obviously don't think about it as much as you do. :)
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

I agree. Anyone holding off on this edition in anticipation of a "Platinum" that may or may not ever come on DVD, I don't know why the dilemma. They could call this a Fruitcake Edition, and with the content as is, I'd be happy with it.

Yes, because the scans of the January titles such as Alice and Lilo that are on this site's main page are from Sleeping Beauty's booklet.

I have a feeling that it is not from a booklet that lists production notes or chapters, but rather from a a second advertisement booklet that Disney frequently put in along with inserts.
