I'd be a little careful about how many single-disc, special feature-less DVDs you buy. I've had many occasions to commend myself on holding out buying a favourite movie's single-disc release, after being rewarded by saving the cost of that cheap version with a 2-or-more disc release later on.

Right now I have 45 dvds altogether and 24 of them are Disney. And I have 17 Disney videos. Which makes 41 Disney dvds and videos altogether.

hah, i've been thinking about that too whether my DVD collection contains too many disney dvds. but then again, i also think it has to do with me not having any disney videos so i might as well get them on DVD now. and anyways, the Aladdin trilogy isn't bad so i should get all three.

what's with the "LAUGH" MMP?! :headshake: :p

I think a good question to ask would be...

How many of you buy/have COPIES of the DVD?

I know MMP has 4 copies of Bambi.
And there was someone on the forum who posted a picture and he had doubles of everything (including PE Gift sets!)

As long as you like the movie, there is nothing wrong with you having it in your collection. It's not your fault if Disney has put out so many great films over the decades.

I have only 30 Disney DVDs, and its lss than th 10% of my colection.

I really doesn´t like to have 2 editions of a DVD because what matters me is the movie--1234 new scenes?so what? what I saw was the movie and thats why I buyed it-- UNLESS the edition came with 1235 new stuffs or it´s too cool to not be buyed.

But hey, if you´re happy all are happy and the world stil go round and round :)

I don't think you can have too many Disney movies, and I'm almost 27! However, I can pawn them off by saying they are for my little guy who is almost a year old. He'll be getting into them soon.

I say, if you like them, buy them!

Wonderlicious wrote:If you click on my DVD Afficionado link, you'll notice that around half of my DVDs are Disney ones. I've looked at a lot of other UDers' lists and have noticed that their lists contain a lot less Disney titles (okay, 25 or so is around the same as mine, but they have 100+ DVDs in their collection as opposed to almost 50) and I'm beginning to worry if I have too many Disney DVDs. I'm also really only anticipating upcoming Disney DVD releases; aside from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mins Special Edition which I've patiently been waiting for a release in England and The Wizard of Oz 2 Disc Set, the only DVDs I can't wait to get released are the platinums of Cinderella, Lady and the Tramp, 101 Dalmatians and The Little Mermaid, as well as the 2 Disc release of Lilo and Stitch. Am I too obsessed? :(
Is it possible to have too many Disney DVD's or DVD's for that matter, lol.

I would like to get ALL my favorites on DVD, and as long as you don't feel the need to have EVERY SINGLE DISNEY DVD, your not "obsessed". You'd go broke anyway, lol.

Nope! We have around 150 DVDs and around 80 of them are Disney DVDs. And we have five Disney DVDs that we're wanting to get right now to add to those numbers. You can never have too much Disney :D

No doubt, if I listed all of my Disney DVDs it'd give me a shock, so short answer is no :P

The only time I think you can say you have "too many" of something is if the collecting of it has become a barrier to other social relationships :D

No way you are obsessed...
I collect WDCC and try to get some Best of Mickey stuff as well, and I do own almost 300 DVD's of which 84 are Disney or subsidiaries.
I try to go to DisneyLand Resort Paris at least once a year some people I know go every two months... so no you are not obsessed, and neither am I ... I hope ;)
