1. Do they charge for slipcovers and inserts?
2. The number that is posted above, is it the same one to do replacement discs? (Which I know they charge for that)

On the topic of calling for slip-covers, does anyone know how a Brit like me can get missing slips from Region 1? I know that I shouldn't be saying I want one, as I mentioned that slip-covers are being overused, but I imported a DVD and didn't get a slip-cover and was really curious where somebody from England could find one.
I need to call to get a slipcover for The Lion King 1 1/2, but I was curious about the Bambi Platinum Edition slipcover. My Bambi slipcover does not have the bumpy sticky thing to keep the cover closed. Instead it just has a small circular sticky spot, which sometimes holds, sometimes doesn't. Is this the way all of the Bambi slipcovers are, or is it just mine? (All the ones at the store were like this -- I checked).

My Bambi Slipcover came the same way. It just has the little sticky thing. I checked a lot of them at Best Buy when I bought it and they all had the same thing.Today4U wrote:I need to call to get a slipcover for The Lion King 1 1/2, but I was curious about the Bambi Platinum Edition slipcover. Ask someone from the U.S....they'll do you a favor..provided that you pay shipping of course.Wonderlicious wrote:On the topic of calling for slip-covers, does anyone know how a Brit like me can get missing slips from Region 1?
If the DVD has the 2 side snaps on the side to lock the DVD case, then your BAMBI Slipcover will have the velcro; otherwise you'd be stuck with GOO!Today4U wrote:Instead it just has a small circular sticky spot, which sometimes holds, sometimes doesn't. Wal-Mart for sure carries both the VELCRO Slipcover as well as the GOO slipcover (the crap one!). And then they have very little that have neither.
R[APRIL.23]K: High School SweetheartsThey are friendly, and they respond to your e-mails! O_O
I expressed interest if they would please put shows like Darkwing Duck and Talespin on Disney DVD soon, and they replied me and everything, telling me thanks for showing interest and they'll send the request to the consumer departments right away.
Makes me glad they at least listen and reply, rock on Disney customer service!

Actually, this isn't true (at least not completely). My Bambi *does* have the two side snaps, but it is not the velcro cover, it's the goo. And the goo does hold well, and doesn't tear, so it's not the end of the world, but if Disney will send me a velcro one I certainly would appreciate it.Today4U wrote:Instead it just has a small circular sticky spot, which sometimes holds, sometimes doesn't. Weird, my case was completely different. My DVD case has no snaps, and I had goo. But I found one with 2 side snaps and velcro. SO I just bought the DVD case with no snaps + the velcro slipcover. Hmm, but ok moving on...Today4U wrote:Actually, this isn't true (at least not completely). My Bambi *does* have the two side snaps, but it is not the velcro cover, it's the goo. Yes, Disney should have the velcro on the Bambi slipcover; the Sleeping Beauty slipcover I ordered from them came with Velcro. So Disney must have the stash of slipcovers with Velcro

I recently bought a copy of Alice in Wonderland. It had a slipcover. But as we drove away in the car I noticed it was torn up in the corner. So as soon as we got back from our trip. I called Buena Vista the next day and the lady said they had some slipcovers left and the she said they'd be sending one. She didn't say how long it would take but it only took a week. And it comes from Wisconson and I live in Canada. That was pretty fast.
