Based on past Disney UK releases I assume this to be the DVD plus the Simba Beanie in a special box (which is available for free from Amazon.co.uk without the box). I would say it's a bit late to just find out about a proper DVD set, but this is Disney UK we're talking about - they never announced or promoted their Treasure Island set at all.

Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

I don't think it's the one with the toy. It is £8 more expensive and Amazon.co.uk also lists another, more expensive version of The Lion King DVD. I did a search on some UK online store and almost all of them have the Gift Pack listed, but no info on the contents. I Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Here's the (now unavailable) Lilo and Stitch gift set:

This was priced £29.99, and as you can see it includes the same soft-toy Amazon were offering free (and a storybook).

same with Monsters, Inc. (and 101 Dalmatians 2 I think)

So I really do think this is what the UK Lion King gift set will be.

Of course the Treasure Planet set contained a PC game and the book, so you just cannot tell. Buena Vista Home Entertainment UK don't believe in publicity.

I totally forgot about those gift sets...
But the set must have something more than the toy Amazon is giving away for free.
Anyway, I think I'll settle for my local release. I'll also get it earlier. :)
