I grew up in a humongous Southern Baptist church but, upon actually studying the Bible on my own as an adult (which is something I recommend to everyone- read it for yourself!!), I found some things I disagreed with in the church so I moved on, and now I'm part of a wonderful smaller congregation that is part of the Evangelical Free Church of America. You could say I prescribe to Reformed Protestantism. For example, on October 31st we are celebrating 'Reformation Sunday' which is the day Martin Luther nailed his 95 Theses on the on the door of Castle Church in Wittenburg.

I wasn't raised in any church growing up (immediate family). I did spend summers with my Aunt and Uncle and attended their church (Church of Christ) until around Jr. High when I decided to go myself. I went to a Southern Baptist church until I was kicked out (yes, kicked out) over feeling a sense of calling in my life. Now I am part of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship and feel right at home.

I'm LDS myself.

Nice to see 3 other people of the same faith here, usually you end up being the only "mormon" on a particular message board.

We've seen a lot of Christians, but I have yet to see anyone of Jewish faith here. Did I just miss someone or have we not had one answer this post yet?

Like Poco, I didn't go to church much as a kid, some Sunday school for a short time at a local Baptist church, but that was about it. Around 2000, I started attending the local Episcopal church, later moved on and found a church home in the Catholic church. :D

My parents were both raised in a more stricter religion/Church, I was raised Methodist, although I now attend a Church w/mom and dad at the Church of the Brethern (where the Pastor is younger than me :o ), although I'm not a member there. I'm more "non-denominational" you could say, w/the main beliefs of any protestant religion. My brother/sister in law are Catholics.

Do you know what denomination you eventually hope to pastor in?

Me too. Though, I was originaly Jewish. Not anymore. I'm still Israeli tho! :) I believe in humanity. I do not believe that a god will help us be good or save us, I believe that the cooperation of man kind will be the key to be a good person and have a good life !

Non-practicing Roman Catholic at the moment. I haven't found a Parish yet that I feel comfortable with.

I am very liberal and the religion is very conservative. So I participate in Mass and pray the rosary... but beyond that I don't really agree with some of the beliefs. I just make my own and try to live my life the best way for me.
