Let's see, I think he chose those rules so everyone's list wouldn't look the same. Let's face it, everyone would have the same identical top 5 as the site's animated Disney count down. It never hurts to enforce a little variety.ThinkTink wrote:Umm yeah when it says "Your top 5 favorite Disney Movies" NORMALLY that means YOUR favorite without rules. Ughh well I guess I'll have to do that anyway.
1.) Aladdin
2.) Bambi
3.) Lilo & Stitch
4.) Mulan
5.) 101 Dalmatians
For the sake of a free for all:
1.) Aladdin
2.) The Little Mermaid
3.) Pocahontas
4.) Bambi
5.) Beauty and the Beast
Wow, four Alan Menken in my real top 5. Point proved.
If I wasn't such a purist, I'd say Spirited Away, Finding Nemo, and the Pixar series would be up there as well. The Nightmare Before Christmas is something I love to hate. It's really cool, but really boring, so who knows where it'd fall.
I meant that when some people put their lists down they like to put in Pixar films as well. And while I'm fond of "Toy Story 2" and "Finding Nemo," they weren't made by Disney animators - they were just released and marketed by Disney. It's the same thing with Disney distributing and dubbing Hayao Miyazaki's films from Studio Ghibli, which admittedly betters the most recent Disney animated flicks in terms of stunning animation and superb storytelling.ThinkTink wrote:Umm yeah when it says "Your top 5 favorite Disney Movies" NORMALLY that means YOUR favorite without rules. Anyway, here's an unaltered top 5 list, which includes the Studio Ghibli and Pixar films as well.
1) The Little Mermaid
2) Bambi
3) Toy Story 2
4) Finding Nemo
5) Spirited Away (aka Sen to Chihiro no Kamaguichi)

I like the rules... stipulations... quid proquos (or however you spell it!
 )...
1. Aladdin
2. Brother Bear
3. Tarzan
4. Sleeping Beauty
5. hmmmm... this is tricky, w/o the stipulations it would The Little Mermaid no question... hmmmm....
Nope... nope... I got it, it would definately have to be The Hunchback of Notre Dame... No wait... DAMN! That's an Alan Menken score.
I guess I'll go with Alice in Wonderland, for though it isn't an obvious choice I can easily enjoy it each time I watch it, which is a lot more than I can say for most people I know!
I also really like The Sword in the Stone....
I don't think I will have a fifth one for now...

Interesting rules! This'll be tough. I like to see a little forced creativity as opposed to the same ole "what's your favorite" that we've answered five hundred times.
These are not in order of preference (that would be too hard!)
1. Beauty and the Beast
2. The Lion King
3. Treasure Planet
4. Sleeping Beauty (and because this is technically slated to become Platinum, I'll have to make the close call between this and Cinderella)
5. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
