Why no Easter Eggs on some Walt Disney Treasures DVD´s ?

Easter Eggs on video tapes? Can't be done as far as I know. Who complained about that? I guess I'm odd, I never collected video tapes. I went from laserdiscs with extras to DVDs with extras.

mvealf, if you're odd, i'm odd too :)

I think in all my years of collecting I have purchased only 2 pre-recorded VHS movies. And one of those was because the stereo (original) mix of the soundtrack sounded different (and much better) than the only-5.1 mix on the DVD :P

The point is that extras are not called "extras" for nothing.

Well my friends, Im pleased to announce the following easter eggs in this Treasures Sets:

1. Mickey Mouse in Black and White:

a. On Disc 1, go to "Bonus Material" highlight "Register your DVD" and click Up to highlight Mickey's cowboy hat; then click Enter. You'll get to see a sing-along a newsreel.

2. Mickey Mouse in Living Color I

b. On Disc 1, highlight "1936" and click Right. Mickey's ears and head will change colors. Click Enter to see a clip from vintage TV show of Walt Disney discussing Mickey.

c. On Disc 2, highlight "1938" and click Up. Mickey's head should appear near an "O". Click Enter to see a bonus cartoon - "Mickey's Surprise Party - shown only at the 1939 World's Fair.

3. Silly Symphonies

a. On Disc 1, go to "Main Menu" then "Leonard's Picks" and highlight "Three Little Pigs" click Up twice to highlight "Leonard". Click Enter to see Walt Disney introduce the "Wynken, Blynken and Nod" cartoon.

b. On Disc 1, go to "Main Menu" then click up to highlight the "S". Click Enter to see Walt Disney introduce the "Grass Hoper and the Ant" cartoon.

c. On Disc 1, go to "Main Menu" then "Favorite Characters". Click Up from "The Wise Little Hen" to highlight a chick. highlight "Leonard". Mickey's ears and head will change colors. Click Enter to see Walt Disney introduce the "Who Killed Cock Robin?" cartoon.

d. On Disc 1, go to "Main Menu" then go to Page 2 of "Fables and Fairy Tales" Favorite Characters". Highlight "Lullaby Land" then click Left. When Ambrose the Cat's sword i slit, click Enter to see Walt Disney introduce the "Water Babies" cartoon.

e. On Disc 1, go to "Captions" and click Down twice to highlight the water bay on the left. highlight "Leonard". Mickey's ears and head will change colors. Click Enter to see Walt Disney introduce the "Practical Pig" cartoon.

f. On Disc 2, go to "Nature on Sreen". Highlight "Mother Pluto" and click Right. When the star on the Rabbit's cheekis highlighted, click Enter to see Walt Disney introduce the "Old Mill" cartoon.

g. On Disc 2, go to "Accent of Music". Highlight "Music Land" and click Left. When the saxophone hat is highlighted, click Enter to see Walt Disney introduce the "Farmyard Symphony" cartoon.

Thats all for now my friends. It's plenty I think. :o
