I almost quoted you. But you have to admit, it's a great pic. Not just Donald's Egg, but the instant moment of his birth as he's breaking out, and hopping mad. Very appropriate for Donald to be frustrated at birth.Sully wrote:Now I realize we all know this, but I wanted to intervene before things got really insane and people are posting pics of "Donald's Egg".
Donald Duck's birthday. When?

Donald Duck doesn't age. Therefore, this nonsense about him having 'lived' and aged for 14 years in some un-imagined, un-discovered universe until Walt thought him up seems a tad ridiculous to me. His birthday is (a)the day he was created, (b) the date of his debut in public, or (c) his stated birthday in the shorts. No speculation as to an actual date of birth prior to his existence, it doesn't make sense. If so, he'd be dead now.

(a) Donald does age, just look at his cartoons. They range from a baby to old age and many incarnations inbetween. (b) 80 years old is not impossible. Nonsense? Attitude!awallaceunc wrote:Donald Duck doesn't age. He changes in style and appearance, yes, but that's not aging. Glimpses of different ages for Donald are situational- like fictitious after-the-fact segments that often appear on flashback episodes of sitcoms, not meant as historical references for the actual 'life' that is Donald.
80 years is impossible (or at least biologically miraculous) for a duck. Obviously, that's a little inane... but so is calculating the aging of a fictitious animated duck.
And yes, I view it as a little nonsensical, but in an amusing, "oh that's silly" kind of way, not meant to be condescending. Sorry if it came across that way.
Attitude? Never!
