According to the links you gave... many of them are... as I stated, some of what has been listed as cut I remember seeing UNCUT in the 80s, and some of them I have only seen in the form mentioned. Certainly I've never seen ANY version of Magician Mickey or Mickey's Amateurs where Donald pulls a firearm out.

That scene is still present on the DVD, it was only censored on The Disney Channel. There is exactly 1 cartoon on MMILC and 1 cartoon on the Silly Symphonies tin that has been changed. However, both of those cartoons can be found uncensored on other Disney DVDs.

What DVD has Clock Cleaners 100% uncut and uncensored??

Also, is there any Silly Symphonies DVD that has both the animation AND the sound uncut?

One Hour In Wonderland from the Masterpiece Edition DVD of Alice In Wonderland has Clock Cleaners with the original uncut lines of "oh yea, sez who?", where the spring replies, "sez I". However, someone has said that this cartoon has been shortened, but I haven't confirmed it. I will need to check. I know it doesn't have the opening and closing credits.

As far as the animation AND sound from The 3 Little Pigs, that is a matter of Walt himself re-animating and re-voicing it. When it was restored, they couldn't find the original sound. So I don't consider this the same as someone today censoring the tins, they simply used what is currently available. However, both versions should have been included as complete as possible, since they each contain original classic animation.

Yea although THAT part is intact the cartoon is missing some parts :(

Would be nice if someone would combine the 2 versions in order to make a good DVD quality version and transfer it on the net (the vob file would be less than 100mb for 8 min)

Here's the info I have (which I put together for my inserts) on the 2 edits to Clock Cleaners:
EDITED - A conservative media watchdog group successfully got this short pulled from Wal-Mart in the mid-90's after accusing Donald Duck of swearing. According to published storyboards of this sequence, Donald is saying, "Sez You," not the F-word as the accusation stated. Even though this line has existed for over 60 years without complaint, Disney nevertheless replaced the dialogue with audio from another short. The obvious edit takes place around the 4:01 mark. Donald now says "I'll get ya" while a dog is heard barking in the background. No dog (other than Goofy) appears in this short! Another edit takes place shortly after this scene, with Donald's line "snake in the grass" being replaced by indiscernible babbling.
And yes, the version on the Alice in Wonderland DVD (at least here in the U.S.) is incomplete. It apparently was edited for time (to work within the 1 hour timeframe of the whole "One Hour in Wonderland" concept), as the whole plotline of Mickey trying to get the large bird out of the clock tower has been cut out. However, if you view this version, you can compare it against the Treasures version to see how the two edits were done.

If you're talking about Clock Cleaners, instead of combining 2 versions, it would be easier to just transfer it from the laserdisc. It is a high-quality restored print with opening and closing credits, and completely uncensored.

Has anyone done a comparison of the Basil DVD Clock Cleaners? After all the Unedited Pluto's Dream House showed up on the Witch Mountain DVD!

The accused phrase was "F-You", but I think the original dialog was "Sez Who?" not "Sez You". In context, Donald says, "Oh yea, sez who?", then the spring says, "sez I". I guess the English subtitles on the Alice DVD should clarify this.

The censored version makes no sense at all, Donald says, "I'll get ya" and the spring replies, "Sez I".

Yeah, I've debated on the "Sez Who" vs "Sez You" thing. It's hard to understand either way. It may make more sense to go the "Sez Who" route, in which case I've got some updating to do! :)

I can't remember if Alice had subtitles. Of the top of my head, I don't think it did, complicating things even more.

Yes, unfortunately it is also censored on The Great Mouse Detective. Disney shorts are usually uncensored in Japan. Does anybody know if Clock Cleaners is censored or not on "Everybody Loves Mickey"?<p align="center"><img border="0" src="http://images-jp.amazon.com/images/P/B0 ... I did just that very thing! See:

http://www.ultimatedisney.com/forum/vie ... php?t=2234

Number 18. The last three shorts are now available on commercial DVD uncensored, but the first four are not AFAIK.

e-Mail me if you want this DVD.

Mark, I think that you are wrong here. Disney has had the original sound as recently as 1997. Here is your own site:

I have this LD and the sound goes PERFECTLY with the older animated part of the Wolf at the third little pig's house. I don't see why you think that the sound of this LD is not the original sound.

No, we have had the original VIDEO as early as 1997. My site doesn't address the sound issue. The sound for those 2 differently animated shorts are SUPPOSED to be different, not the same as they currently exist. The re-made sound says, "I'm the Fuller brush man, I'm working my way through college". He says this in a very dopey sounding voice. The original dialog said something completely different in a Jewish accent. If you notice, the lips don't move correctly to what was being said because he was originally saying something different. That is the lost sound I'm referring to.<p align="center"><img border="0" src="http://www.geocities.com/disney_laserdiscs/pics/3AX.JPG" width="513" height="189"></p>

Looking at those two pics, side by side, its really strange how drastically different the two versions are, yet the brushes and belt are exactly the same. The version depiciting the wolf as a Jewish guy is almost kinda creepy to look at. I think that is def one of those 'what were you thinking' kinda moments.

Anyway, the editing on these DVDs is very disturbing since they were not supposed to have any cuts. I know about the one from the Disneyland USA set where they cut out the kids. I'm not too bothered about that one, but the cut up cartoons sort of tick me off. Is there a list of which cartoons and how much was cut? I tried the Tannerman links but they just seemed to try to download stuff to my hard drive.

Those are download links. They are zipped files that contain PDF inserts you can actually place in the case of you Treasures DVD. You can learn more about how this all works here: http://www.tannerworld.com/dvd. Hopefully that helps alleviate any confusion. :)
