Oh my God, the trailer looks worse than I expected! I don`t usually mind that Disney pokes fun at themselves, but the way they`re doing it now is too off-putting and blatant! And the worst part of it is how they`re poking fun at movies that were made in a different animated medium! First it was Descendants, then it was Ralph Breaks the Internet and now this! I liked Olaf originally, but now he`s becoming just like Mater in Cars: A fun and likable sidekick who`s been milked to such a degree that he`s become obnoxious! Besides, the amount of Olaf shorts are now so many that it all reminds me of the quantity of The Pixie Hollow shorts: How it became too many of them!
Re: Olaf Presents
y'no, I think this would be a good idea... if they used the same idea with Luis from the Ant-Man movies doing this with the MCU.
Michael Pena is great as Luis, and it fits in with his character from the movies. While honestly, I've always found Josh Gad to be annoying and have off-putting energy.

I agree. It feels cheap and commercialized, which is weird because in the last decade Disney was really protective of their brand after the damage done by the cheapquels, now with Disney+ it seems they are on the same path they used to be. History repeating itself.DisneyFan09 wrote:Oh my God, the trailer looks worse than I expected! I thought I was the only one who thought this here. I agree that he's obnoxious and off putting, it's such a shame that he's going to ruin the remake of The Hunchback of Notre Dame, hopefully he'll be Clopin (I remember seeing someone somewhere suggesting that) instead of Quasimodo, I don't think he has the chops to do a dramatic role like Quasimodo's.Avaitor wrote:While honestly, I've always found Josh Gad to be annoying and have off-putting energy.

Re: Olaf Presents
I think it was only while Lasseter was there that Disney was overly controlling about their IPs. I'm glad that time is over. I've never been a huge fan of Olaf, but these are fine. I'm also looking forward to the Wrecked Princess offshoots.
Anyway, I hope this is a refresher course for those in the The Little Mermaid thread who think negative posts about the topic in question are somehow unusual here.

That Part of your World (reprise) re-enactment in the trailer made me lol
I'll watch these, cause I love Olaf.

Olaf is my favorite Frozen character after Elsa (anyone who isn't that bimbo Anna or that big-nosed Kristoff) so I'm really excited for more content for him....but I also agree with what was said here

Re: Olaf Presents
The trailer gave me a laugh.
I can see fairy tales or stories being told to a snowman in the 19th century and his re-telling them, too.

It's very touching that you are jumping to the defense of 2 FICTIONAL characters but I think there is some lapse in judgment if you are defending them from my "meanness" by being mean yourself.

God bless you both.

Re: Olaf Presents
Well, I mean calling Anna a bimbo isn’t right because she has shown that, despite being quick to trust a prince who turned out to be a psycho, she’s not some clueless airhead.

I agree making fun of fictional characters is mean. Hans a psycho? that's just uncalled for!
oh yeah Olaf, whatever... Like I stated previously, its more stalling until they figure out what the blazes they are gonna do with the rest of the characters after they sorta kinda wrote themselves into a corner at the end of the 2nd film. Oops.

Re: Olaf Presents
If they ended it with Frozen II because they don't know how to continue, then I'll be fine with that ending, actually Frozen II has grown on me, I still don't think it's particularly good, but at least it feels different and has more of Elsa and better songs.unprincess wrote:oh yeah Olaf, whatever... However, I don't think that's going to be the case, I don't think Disney will ever give up on another billion dollars film just for the sake of the story. I'm just hoping they realize that unlike Toy Story, Frozen can't rely on the actors for too long because it is a musical and the actors' voices might change, especially Idina's (I guess they could bring in Eden Espinosa to sing for her instead but it's not really the same).
