^I had a similar thought.
I don't think that men should never write about female characters or anything, but I think three dudes heading a story about women, especially women who are supposed to be like reclaiming their narrative, feels a little discordant.
Craig Gillespie stands out as an example of a male director who knows how to write complex female lead characters--he did "Cruella," as well as "I, Tonya." He's also directing "Supergirl" this year, but that also has a female screenwriter.

Either way, it’s from the people who made the chip and Dale reference Rangers movie. and like my best friend has said, the movie feels like it’s written and made by people who don’t understand Disney at all. So unless they change the creative team, whether it’s man or woman, no thank you.
