Animated Classic SURVIVOR - Round 6

Post by AwallaceUNC »

Last time we voted off 2 more movies. So far, the films voted off are..
Round 1 - The Three Cabelleros, The Aristocats, Oliver & Company, The Adventures of Ichabod & Mr. Toad
Round 2 - Atlantis: The Lost Empire, Saludos Amigos, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Treasure Planet
Round 3 - Make Mine Music, The Black Cauldron, The Great Mouse Detective, Hercules
Round 4 - Melody Time, The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh, The Sword In The Stone, The Rescuers Down Under
Round 5 - Fun & Fancy Free, Robin Hood*

Recap:

It works just like the Survivor TV show. Basically, come on here once every 2 days (we've shortened it from 3 days to 2 based on the first four rounds) and vote for the Disney Animated Classic (see the list http://www.ultimatedisney.com/ultimateclassics.htm) that you want to vote off, i.e., the one that you like the least! At the end of the 2 days, I'll come on here and announce who got voted off, and a new thread will start for the 7th round. This gets to be a lot of fun, especially when it gets down to the wire.

The TWO movies that receive the most votes will be kicked off each week, UNTIL we are down to the final 10 and 5, then it will change up some!

Just to reiterate: Every 2 days, 2 movies will go off now. Got it? Good.

So, Survivors ready?? Come on in and vote off ONLY ONE of these remaining movies (The Bottom 25!!):

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
Pinocchio
Fantasia
Dumbo
Bambi
Cinderella
Alice in Wonderland
Peter Pan
Lady and the Tramp
Sleeping Beauty
101 Dalmations
The Jungle Book
The Rescuers
The Fox and The Hound
The Little Mermaid
Beauty and the Beast
Aladdin
The Lion King
Pocahontas
Mulan
Tarzan
Fantasia 2000
The Emperor's New Groove
Lilo & Stitch
Brother Bear

Reminder: Please post your vote alone in bold, as this makes it easier for me. Everyone did a good job with this last week, thanks. :)

Voting ends at midnight (EASTERN TIME) on Sunday, April 11th (Easter Sunday).

*Round 5 marked the transition from voting off 4 movies per every 3 days to voting off 2 movies per every 2 days.

I'm casting my third vote for Bambi to go (though this is only the second round I've voted for it... it was twice in the last round, due to the tie-breaker).

Well, I better vote for something that has already been voted against, or else I'm out, I mean they're out.

Hmm, I guess I'll vote for Lilo & Stitch.

The tribe has spoken and the nineteenth and twentieth movies to go are: The Rescuers (sorry Tangela) and The Fox And The Hound, with 5 votes each. This was an interesting week and the votes were very close. Also, I think we have set a record (though I'm not sure), as 9 different movies received at least one vote this time! Come back and vote next week in round 7, which I'll go post now. Happy Easter, everyone! :)

Changing my vote this week from Bambi to Lilo & Stitch. I probably like Lilo more, but it's not as classic as Bambi, and I think that any votes for the vintage films are more likely to go to something else at this stage. Lilo, while a good film, just doesn't make the cut.

Let's see which of my favorite films have disappeared... The Aristocats, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, The Fox and the Hound, The Black Cauldron, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Re...

The Rescuers is gone??????? Ok, people, forget about calling us at the R.A.S. when you get into trouble. Anyways, what else is there for me but to take revenge... I'm not going to let Belle win, mark my words.

Mulan

Edit: I decided to get rid of Mulan, in order to try to save one of my favorite films, I didn't like Mulan more than Belle, anyways, so I'll wait on breaking Chip.

Tim, Tangela is just a little irritated that all his favorites are gone, and now he thinks that he can make a revenge by voting out one of our favorites. Tangela: Grow up

I am voting for Mulan
Belle is not going to win, believe me, even if I have let, (Yuck!) Genie win.

Beauty and the Beast is a classic. How can you vote for that?
Just because all of your favorites are gone doesn't mean you have to vote for a good quailty film.
Please, listen to karlsen Tangela and grow up.

Beauty and the Beast might be a classic and a good quality film for you, for me it is just another overrated and boring movie. If I want a good love story I rather go with something new like Lady and the Tramp or Cinderella. I'm just voting off a movie I don't like.

I have spoken, and MMP, don't tell me to grow up, ok?
karlsen wrote:He wount ruin the countdown at all because nobody else is as stupid as voting for a movie like that. :)

He will just be roaring like a mouse with his posts.
Ok, let me get this straight, voting for my favorite films, is playing the game, voting for YOUR favorite films is ruining the game???

Sorry, but that makes 0 sense.

Anyway everybody, let's continue the game, Beauty and the Beast got one vote, you'll live. Almost all my favorite movies are gone and here I am, alive!

Tangela can vote for anything he wants- even if it's a terrible decision  . That's all part of the game of Survivor. :)

Dumbo. I know it's a classic, and it's a sweet film, but I pretty much like everything else on the list more (except Brother Bear, which I have yet to see).
