That's actually really promising to hear. I really enjoyed Frozen but as a musical it's structure always felt off to me as it was really front loaded and the songs just stopped with Fixer Upper (which is the first time I truly understood what Alan Menken had meant when he said part of the reason Jafar got Prince Ali Reprise because it was too late to introduce a completely new song). Sounds like they're really fixing that for stage.

It's going to be a big challenge not watching the Denver leaks on YouTube and waiting to see it for myself.

anybody think they may use one of the new songs in the animated sequel in a modified way? kinda like how they used He Lives in You in Lion King 2? If Hans comes back maybe they'll use one of his songs from the show.

Not Broadway but the preview of the new stage show opening in Disneyland looks pretty good:

WOW! The staging and direction of Let It Go is fabulous! Can't wait to see how Broadway tops it

That looks wonderful !

Though golly, isn't Let It Go terribly hard to sing ..... Hearing someone else try just reminds me how hard it actually is !

The whole show is up. It's not as good as Aladdin, but it is fabulous!

That was way better done than the Youtube comments section would lead me to believe.

I'm sure the projection effects look even better and more 3D in person, but I'm just amazed at how well they're worked in. Anna "freezing" and then "thawing" at the climax was brilliant. I also think that the simplistic staging with the revolving floor works really well with the story. Still, my only real complaint with the overall production (not counting acting, because it's the first show for a movie with some hard songs to perform live and I don't expect Aladdin-calibre-improvisation yet) is that I would have preferred the troll costumes to be a little less...like the movie, I guess. I would have rather had face-paint over the creepy masks, and it just seems like they're trying too hard to match the movie when a more mobile costume would have been more effective. I wouldn't be surprised if when the show goes to Broadway they try to make the trolls appear more like naturalistic humans rather than following the movie's designs. Oh, and also, they should give a hat or something to the puppeteer controlling Sven, at least to cover his hair.

I was kinda hoping they wouldn't include Olaf in the musical. Having a guy in a snowman costume is going to look awkward and the plot doesn't really need him.

I really agree with you about the costume. I'm surprised they're going through that route. To make Olaf work, they need to do a puppet. I'm shocked that Sven is going to be in it more than anything.
