I know that. I was joking. He would know the joke. We're good buddies.qindarka wrote:No need for the hostility. He was just making fun of us nitpicking over the covers.
anyway

This pic is misleading because Esmeralda and Quasi didn't commit double suicide.

This hands down the funniest thread I've ever been in that just has me

In a good way funny, not the crazy funnies kind.

Im... interesting about Hunchback. Anyone notice that, even though its the same layout, this is DIFFERENT than the original US cover???
About the Sleeping Beauty cover... the purple dress... there could be many reasons for that... one could be the mix of pink and blue... another could be that the bed she is on is blue, and having her in the blue dress would make her blend with the bed if seen from afar.
I remember the original Beauty And the Beast poster...Belle is in her peasant dress, but its purple instead of blue. Why? cause she is standing in front of a blue lake... and her torso would have blended into the background...
One thing I will never understand is the Little Mermaid cover: they took the top half of the poster and kept it, and re-drew all the characters in the lower half (except Sebastian). They all looked better in the original poster... and they left the penis-tower intact!

So, you're making a joke? And which Sleeping Beauty cover, the VHS or Laserdisc?Marce82 wrote:Dear DisneyDuster... HOW DARE you say ANYTHING bad about that Sleeping Beauty cover??? Possibly the most beautiful cover Disney has ever done.... for SHAAAAME....
LMAO!!!!SpringHeelJack wrote:At NO point in the movie did an enormous Pinocchio and Jiminy and a slightly smaller Gepetto and Figaro descend from the heavens to challenge Monstro the whale as he chased their normal-sized equivalents. I was EXTREMELY disappointed in this.

Hey, Disney Duster....
I meant the 1986 VHS cover... the one w the purple dress and the staircase. Its GORGEOUS. Really represents the movie, it uses one of the original backgrounds... characters are fairly on model...
The widescreen cover u like is nice, but its ALL about Maleficent... no background at all... not nearly as good if u asked me!

Ok well I didn't say anything bad about that VHS cover even though Maleficent's fading bottom bothers me as does the composition a little bit. Good composition is the "widescreen" cover. The "widescreen" cover also draws your eyes to the main characters, Aurora and Philip, while using the metaphor that Maleficent was everywhere overpowering them (she even became huge at one time) and actually in the film she also overshadowed them as characters. Plus its just so dang cool.Marce82 wrote:Hey, Disney Duster....

I think this might be more a theatrical poster, but whatever:

At no point during this movie was there an open-air get-together around the cauldron with Fflewddur Fflam crucified while the Horned King is doing some type of YMCA dance as his army of the undead approaches in the background.
Other dvd/vhs covers for this film are equally ridiculous by the way. I guess it's difficult to market a film that has absolutely nothing going on.

The only weird one to me is Hades. There's no way he'd be smiling.PixarFan2006 wrote: Okay, look where Hercules is pointing the sword at and look who he is staring at. Also, why is Meg falling in love with Pain and Panic?
