Well, then you shouldn't go calling it not a big flop and not a big success eh?<-- pronounce as Rutt and Tuke do ;) Actually, all Disney movies are always a big succes here, we don't see Disney the negative way as *most* americans see it ;)
I meant in an American point of view, in which the films are really judget. :)

Grunches,

No he is not gone. He won the vote by 57% to 43%.

However, that is far from a stamp of approval. It is very rare to come that close to defeat without a major corporate scandal.

We will see how it shakes out. He may have been mortally wounded today.

Mermaid Kelly: The webcast is open to everyone.

When it comes to Michael Eisner then there are several answeres to what would happen now. Eisner was the only candidate so he was elected. He also has a contract with the Disney company so he would still be an Disney employee.

But as I see it now Eisner would probably step down as the chairman of the board but still be the CEO. This is probably the best we could hope for this year.

Eisner is no longer chairman, but for now he is still CEO.

Earlier tonight the board unanimously elected former Senator George Mitchell as the company's new chairman. Mitchell is a major Eisner apologist and he received a 24% negative vote from the shareholders today for his position on the board. Most likely his term as chairman is temporary.

It is a step in the right direction, but Disney still needs more change. The 43% vote is awesome and bodes well for our side.

I think it would have been better if he wasn't the CEO but maybe by next year he will be voted against even more! He still has a lot of power but he will slowly lose it. (I hope.)

I listened to as much as I could before I had to go to class. It was fun to listen to, but Eisner made mad at times... ugh, how can anyone buy into his blatant bs-ing? Stan & Roy made me proud. Stan is a wonderful speaker, Roy's message was great, but he's only so-so at public speaking.

As for Pixar & Disney. I don't know if it's better or worse for Disney to be seperate from Pixar. I don't want 2D animation to die, but I don't know which will be better for that plight. Roy must have a reason for wanting Pixar back (actually, maybe not... it's probably just a good issue to grab on to and attack Eisner with, as it made headlines itself with the split was announced).
