I did see the clips and I think like all things sometimes clips don't show all the story.I think they are just showing the humour for now and later they will go to the dramatic stuff.I don't you should write it off too soon.Clips are just part of the picture and don't show the whole painting.I think that Ultimate Spiderman can be as good as the Avengers because I have seen the show and it handled drama and humour with good balance.

I'm not, I'm pretty sure I made it clear I was going to watch it. I'm just worried after what I saw and it sounds like you weren't too impressed with the clips either.jazzflower92 wrote:I don't you should write it off too soon.
Make it happen. I only worry about the type of crowd that would attract. Imagine the collective BO.Super Aurora wrote:or it's own separate theme park.

If Six Flags(has DC comics) and Universal(has Marvel stuff) is anything to go by I'd say it will be well balance crowd. Only ones I can think might not want it is little girls but that's only an "if".jpanimation wrote:Make it happen. I only worry about the type of crowd that would attract. I imagine Marvel theme park will generate same type audience that Hollywood Studios and lesser extent, Epcot, draws in.

Hmm, I really like the character designs of both shows. Can't say I've gotten to see any of either yet. Hopefully on DVD or whatever format eventually.jpanimation wrote:Like I said, watch the clips. The tone of this show seems more like Teen Titans and Batman: The Brave and the Bold. They seem to be going for goofiness, while Spectacular was a pretty well written drama (despite the cartoony voice acting and bad character designs).jazzflower92 wrote:All I can say it will be a big hit espically with people who miss The Spectacular Spiderman.
Anyway, to more pressing matters, for me, anyway, ha...
I really like the idea of a Maroon Studios in Disney Hollywood Studios. Being that Roger Rabbit is my favorite film, I would like to see more presence of it in the parks. To me, it must not be as impossible as people are always saying since they do have a presence in Disneyland (Toontown, a Roger Ride, we encountered meet 'n' greet Roger at Disney World once) and they still make Roger merchandise sometimes at the Disney Stores. Basically, I would like to see a Toontown in Florida somewhere, and bringing back the Acme warehouse with an entrance to Toontown, or a Maroon Studios with an entrance to Toontown, or something like that, would be awesome. Even just a Maroon Studios with a the Toontown ride as our only way of visiting Toontown, though Toontown is the best place to have meet 'n' greets with cartoon characters that maybe don't fit anywhere else so well. I really think they should redo the animation area (no idea what is going on in the animation building nowadays) as something like this, and I like your idea of redoing the Beauty and the Beast show with another indoor theater (outdoor theaters just aren't that great to have, though I guess they seat a lot more people) and doing an Aladdin show or something. Not that I don't like the Beauty and the Beast show. I don't want them to get rid of Voyage of the Little Mermaid though. God, I LOVE that show. As for redoing the Great Movie Ride, there are a lot of scenes I think need to stay in there, which is why it makes me worrisome. They could use beefing up in their presentations, but otherwise, I really love that ride and would rather they just make it more spectacular in the presentation and all. And, this may sound goofy, but one of my favorite parts, and my younger sister's as well, is the line, where they have the movie memorabilia, and most importantly, where they show movie trailers for stuff like Casablanca and Raiders of the Lost Ark. That just REALLY gets me in the mood for that ride. I certainly don't want to see that go. As for the Muppets, I wonder if they shouldn't do a new show, perhaps with a lot more animatronics (what more appropriate cause for an animatronic show? They are underrated!), though maybe more interactive ones like the meet 'n' greet Bunsen and Beeker (which I have yet to experience in person!), maybe incorporating live performers too, both human and ones like Sweetums... But, you know, instead of 3D, make it like a real Muppet show. With animatronics or just with real Muppeteers.jpanimation wrote: Holy crap, everything you just said, I'm in total agreement with. I've actually outlined what should be done to the Disney-MGM Studios to fix it up (outside of a billion dollar makeover like DCA):

I would have them add Maroon Studios between Rock 'n' Roller Coaster and Hollywood Blvd. but that will never happen due to rights issues. I'd also have them add the Indiana Jones ride but I'm not sure there's enough room even when taking out the stunt show (unless they cut out all the outside queueing and a good chunk of the inside queue). It's a BIG ride.
Ah, I like the idea of actual animation happening again on the studio tour, though I don't know if watching them do computer animation would do it for me. But, yeah, it'd be nice to have a real animation studio tour again (heck, even a real movie studio tour. Is the backlot tour completely gone? I forget? Of course, since it's no longer a real studio, I guess there's no point to that. But I miss the big Honey I Shrunk the Kids bee, and Catastrophe Canyon, Dick Tracy's Crime Stoppers, and all that. Anyways, yeah, Lights, Motors, Action never had any appeal to me. And I definitely think they should have a PIXAR area, maybe part of the animation area, maybe not, that has a real, hardcore authentic Pizza Planet and all that. Though, I have other thoughts on PIXAR I like just as much...
Like your thorough list of plans for Disney MGM Studios, I have often posted a thorough plan for EPCOT that follows up on their adding Nemo to pep-up Living Seas. And when talking about the Laugh Floor, I forgot that my original wish was to make that the new Universe of Energy, or part of it. It just happens that the PIXAR characters/films suit EPCOT very well, and incorporating them throughout could be done to make EPCOT more appealing, like they seem so much to want to do, but, in my opinion, keep making it worse. I mean, they have already incorporated Remy a bit at the French restaurant too. But, over in Future World, where they really NEED help spicing things up, The Land pavilion could incorporate a variety of PIXAR subjects well. Just take your pick from The Land with Wall-E, The Land with A Bug's Life, The Land incorporating character from "Up". Any of those could work to spice up attractions and theming in that pavilion. The Wonders of Life could be brought back showcasing The Incredibles (with some Sport goofy too, ha), and like I said, Universe of Energy suits the Monsters Inc. theme perfectly. And, instead of giving us a whole Cars land, which is overkill for the weakest PIXAR material, redo Test Track a bit with a Cars theme (or even better, an updated "World of Motion" with Cars theme). Spaceship Earth could have a Wall-E theme, or Buzz Lightyear (even if he just narrates to keep it all serious), Journey into Imagination could incorporate Toy Story (maybe with a new 3D show), but also keeping Dreamfinder and Figment, with a total restoration of the ride to the original version. Though, frankly, I like Captain Eo and Honey, I Shrunk the Audience a lot, and I wouldn't mind both those be shown and an added attraction for Toy Story, if there's room. Pizza Planet could also work as a Future World restaurant, and that could be enough Toy Story influence, allowing Imagination to still focus on Figment, actually. But that would take it out of Disney Hollywood Studios totally. And, I would like to see some modernized version of Horizons come back, but then, I've never ridden the "Mission Space" attraction. Most of the new FutureWorld stuff has no appeal to me, and that's the problem. That attraction could be Space Ranger themed, but I'd rather see Horizons, which could be Space Ranger Themed, or Wall-E themed, or whatever. My point is, The PIXAR characters fit really well in FutureWorld, and I think that even the old attractions could have been kept with just some enhancing in the technology, modernizing, some restoration, and the adding of these characters. But, yeah, a PIXARland in Disney Hollywood Studios is a nice idea that is probably more likely. But, I have seen plans for revamping Futureworld that I hate so much, that I really wish they'd go my PIXAR route.
Anyways, back to the Studios, yeah, totally agree that the hat needs to come down or be relocated if they insist it be the symbol (I liked the water tower better), but I hope they don't ever remove the Sci-Fi Diner or the Commissary to make room for anything. I have always wanted to eat at the Sci-Fi Diner, and I think both fit into the park's Movie/studio theming well. So far though, I have only eaten in that restaurant where you are eating in a 50's style kitchen and they get mad at you if you don't eat your vegetables, ha. I forget the name of it.
Oh, and I would love to see the Indy ride brought to Disney Hollywood Studios, depending on what they'd have to remove for it. I do hope they always have some sort of Indy attraction there. Let me put it this way, after Disney, my biggest fandoms are Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and the Muppets, so you can imagine how much I love that Disney Hollywood Studios has all of those, even though it's not my FAVORITE park of the 4 (but I'm not sure I could pick a favorite, really). If they had Sailor Moon and Dark Shadows (or Kolchak the Night Stalker), forget about it. That would be the perfect place for me. I'd want to be buried there (well, if they wouldn't bury me in front of Cinderella's castle).

That one validates jpanimation's worry about the type of crowd it would attract. Of course it may vary by individual park in that case since there are a number of them.Super Aurora wrote:If Six Flags(has DC comics) and Universal(has Marvel stuff) is anything to go by I'd say it will be well balance crowd.
