I didn't buy the Limited Edition DVD in 1999 because I didn't have a DVD Player. I'm glad that Disney is re-releasing the DVD with extras.

I think the DVD might come in a case "that opens like a book." I agree MickeyMouseBoy, Anamophic widescreen is awsome!

Yay, I hope the virtual safari is theme-park based again, or something equally as creative.

Well one thing I will know for sure. The European version will have to do it without the DTS track like with Lion ?King 1 1/2.
Instead of the DTS track we got in holland a bulgarian DD5.1track...... :o
I wonder why because almost nobody speak bulgarian in Holland!!

How many times are they going to include a Timon & Pumbaa Virtual Safari on the discs?

Hey, Paka (Lindsay)! Thanks for the welcome! I'm sorry about the size of the image. Trust me, it was supposed to be much smaller, but my scanner started doing the weirdest things it's ever done, as I attempted to scan the photo. Then, whenever I tried to shrink the image on my computer, the quality of the image shrunk also. Thanks for making the image smaller!

You can now pre-order The Lion King II Special Edition (Region 1) on DisneyStore.com. Pre-order before August 30 and recieve a free lithograph. Sorry, but no pictures of the lithograph are available. I'm assuming that the retail stores will take pre-orders after "Teacher's Pet" is out on June 150

Just do a search for "Lion King II" on www.DisneyStore.com.

What's funny is that there is a Disney Store at Washington National Airport. I'll take the subway to the airport and buy the DVD and watch some planes land. lol

Internationally, this is going to be a 1-disc set. No big deal though, it seems the only thing missing is the Virtual Safari.
The only interest I have in this title is the Don Hahn short, "One By One".

I'm really excited about this one: I have the original VHS, and actually watch it more often than the original film.
Plus, I love the "One by One" song from the Broadway play, and really want to see the short.

Well not according to Disney UK who seem to have got mixed up *again*:

Lion King II Special Features:
- Timon & Pumbaa's Virtual Safari 2.0
- "One By One"
- Find Out Why - Educational Shorts
- Pride Land Play & Learn Games
- Rafiki's Challenge Game
- Lots about Lions Featurette
- Proud of Simba's Pride (Making Of)
- Music Videos

(According to http://www.disney.co.uk/DisneyVideos/home.html - click on LK2 icon then Special Features)

Those features were all sounding very convincing until the "Rafiki's Challenge Game" listing which was infact on our LK3 disc 2. It therefore looks like they have just copied across the listing for the US DVD without a care in the world.

Good old Buena Vista Home Entertainment UK! :D

Why do they even bother releasing stuff? They obviously don't care!

Yes, it looks like the Single Disc international versions are missing the Virtual Safari and the Rafiki Challenge Game.
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

They really should put the deleted scnes on this set. I don't know why they're not.

Yeah, it's too bad that Disney isn't including the deleated scenes. :( The would be fun to watch. I think The Lion King 1 1/2 includes a deleted scene.

DisneyStore.com updated the Simba's Pride order page.
You can find a picture of the lithograph. Of course, the artwork is subject to change. I think this lithograph with Simba and young Kiara looks kinda cute.

Also on this page is a picture of a VHS Spanish Version (Region 1)

Later all.

I love the picture too! The colors are nice and warm.

I think the stores in the malls will offer the lithograph. The website order page does not say that the deal is exclusively for online orders.. The Disney stores might begin taking pre-orders after July 20. I'm not sure if the rumor is correct though.
