Those Winnie the Pooh re-dubs don't particularly bother me, since it's just little scenes and at least it's not the full feature that's being re-dubbed. However, it's still rather pointless especially since Jim Cummings' Pooh sounds exactly like Sterling Holloway's Pooh.

True.

Only thing I can think of as to why they would do this is to make them sound new.... as if these mini adventures are new bits of animation.

Interesting how they kept the original audio for Gopher. I wonder why.

Probably because Gopher wasn't in the new movie.

They shortened the song, but they did not rerecord it. They only rerecorded the stuff before and after the song.

Oh. I feel better now. :)

Still, I don't get why they'd want to change segments of the movie/shorts at all. It does not make them glitter like gems or whatever that guy said in the interview. The original voices and score were perfect, and although the new voices are passable, they are still noticeably different. Even the incredibly talented Jim Cummings can't match Sterling Holloway exactly.

The restoration looks so good! I can't wait for the Blu-Ray for 'The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh'.

Funny that they didn't re-record Kanga's voice.

I think Jim Cummings matches the old Pooh far better than the old Tigger. When I'm watching a Mini Adventure with Pooh, I barely even notice that it has been re-recorded. But with Tigger it's very distracting for me.

You don't think they'll release Many Adventures with the new voices do you?? :/

I'd be gobsmacked if they did. I think the new voices are only to make the segments more palatable to ears more accustomed to a crisper, more modern sound when they watch their Disney Junior (I believe that's the programming block these air in), if that makes any sense.
