I disagree though. "Be Our Guest" is likely the most memorable song of '90s Disney.
I disagree. Circle of Life from the Lion King is probably the most memorable Disney song of the 90s. It came from a more successful film and was hugely popular.
I agree with you. While "Be Our Guest" is a great song, I certainly wouldn't call it the most memorable song of the 90s. The most memorable song from B&TB perhaps. This is the same decade that brought us:
Circle of Life
A Whole New World
Prince Ali
Friend Like Me
Can You Feel the Love Tonight
I'll Make a Man Out of You
and more that are extremely memorable.

Mermaid was from the '80s. Aha! You would never have heard me say it otherwise.
"Circle of Life" is probably remembered most, though likely more for the sequence (which was pimped in theaters prior to the film's release, like "Colors of the Wind" was) and the promotion/success of the film, but I can never think of the lyrics off the bat like "Be Our Guest." Besides that song, I honestly don't think anything else lives up to the B&tB soundtrack in the '90s, that's both melodically and lyrically as strong. Just my opinion.
Listening to most often lately:
Taylor Swift ~ ~ "The Fate of Ophelia"
Taylor Swift ~ "Eldest Daughter"
Taylor Swift ~ "CANCELLED!"

I would argue the Aladdin soundtrack lives up to it both melodically and lyrically as well.
