I'm glad Rugrats and Rocket Power will be on, but I do hope Angry Beavers, Wild Thornbery's, Zim, Real Monsters, and Arnold also make a comeback.
I know there's been Nicktoons Network, but I don't get that channel.

"The 90's Are All That" programming block on TeenNick begins July 25th from 12 AM to 4!

Put on that slime helmet and prepare yourself for shows like “Aaahh!!! Real Monsters,” “The Adventures of Pete & Pete,” “All That,” “The Amanda Show,” “Are You Afraid of the Dark?,” “Catdog,” “Clarissa Explains it All,” “Double Dare,” “Doug,” “Hey Arnold!,” “Kenan & Kel,” “Legends of the Hidden Temple,” “Nickelodeon GUTS,” “The Ren & Stimpy Show,” “Rocket Power,” “Rocko’s Modern Life,” “Rugrats,” “Salute Your Shorts,” and “The Secret World Of Alex Mack.” And was that Stick Stickly? What will he be dunked in next?
Are you planning on tuning in? Check out the brand new promo below and see the awesomeness that was ’90s Nick.
I still wish that Nick could buy back the rights to You Can't Do That On Television. It might be an 80's show, but it's a huge part of their history and worth rediscovery.
But I'm still really looking forward to this. I grew up watching just about all of these shows, and I'm planning on staying up for the first night to watch the whole block.
Now if only we could get a definite schedule for what's going to air on the 25th.

I always wanted to be a player in Legends, Double Dare, and GUTS. I haven't thought of good ol' Stick Stickly for a very long time and I'm glad he's returning. ^_^

Apparently, this is going to be the first week's schedule.
12:00am All That
12:30am Kenan & Kel
1:00am Clarissa Explains It All
1:30am Doug
All That starts with season 2, but the others begin with their first episodes on, and they should be rotating each week.
Not a bad first pick, IMO. I'll skip recording Clarissa, since I have the first season on DVD, but I'll definitely watch the others.

Nick has catered to us beautifully with this block. First off it started off with a disclaimer that said:
WARNING: May not be suitable for people who didn't grow up with 90's Nick.
That put a smile on my face. It then went into a music video of sorts with footage of 90's Nick stuff which lead into Kenan Thompson talking a bit then All That started which as everyone has been saying is the first episode of Season 2. If anyone liked the musical guests on the show I have bad news they are cut out, so after the last sketch it went straight to the credits. The other 3 shows are uncut as far as I can tell. Kenan & Kel's episode was the first one as was Doug's, but Clarissa's first episode of the block was, like All That the first episode of Season 2. Overall I like the block, and I'll be tuning in each night.

Disney is awesome, and was the biggest part of my childhood.
Wow! That's even more shows than initially announced. The new episodes rumor is false but no matter - it's exciting to have all these shows on again! I hate to say it, but even though the time slot seems late - think of all the 90s kids who grew up to be insomniacs, late night stoners or drinkers stumbling in from the bar right around midnight to 4 am? It works great...

Clarissa started halfway through the second season for whatever reason. Weird, but I'm happy, since I love watching what I don't have on DVD.
Loving the block so far. It's great to see these shows again, and they even put up classic Nick bumpers from that time in between episodes. Plus Kenan Thompson is a welcoming host.
After a while, they should be putting a poll up for other shows you can vote for to air. Which ones in particular are going to be on there and which are staying from this schedule is uncertain, but it should happen before long. For now, the schedule is staying the same, though.

If you can't stay up to watch the shows, you can access them on the site for the block. It's over here. Not so sure about the bumpers being on there, but they should be on YouTube.
Also, the block is a smash hit. It's pulling in very good ratings, and is getting tons of buzz online. Expect this to stay on for a while.

Hey guys, loving the block? Me, too.
There's going to be a change starting this week, though. Clarissa Explains It All and Doug are gone, while Rocko's Modern Life and Hey Arnold! are on. An hour of both new shows will air this Monday, while the block will stick to normal for the rest of the week, with All That and Kenan & Kel sticking around.

I wish they would’ve kept Doug on for another month so it’d make a full run, instead of just cutting it off part way through Season 3. Also, as much as I love Rocko’s Modern Life, they should’ve had something else paired with Hey Arnold!, as Rocko’s Modern Life is already shown on Nicktoons Network, while there are many other shows that can’t be seen anywhere.Avaitor wrote:Hey guys, loving the block? This block really needs to become a network. I say drop Teennick and launch that Nickelodeon Rewind channel they promised us or revert Nicktoons Network back to the original format of having nothing but classic commercial free nicktoons (back when it was called Nicktoon Channel).

I wouldn't have minded that. Doug and Clarissa weren't too far off from finishing their runs, so they could have just kept them running. But a the same time, they were the lower rated shows on the block and fans have been complaining about a lack of change for a while, so maybe it was a good move to replace them after all.jpanimation wrote: I wish they would’ve kept Doug on for another month so it’d make a full run, instead of just cutting it off part way through Season 3.
I'd have replaced them both with something else, since both series have their first seasons available on DVD, and their complete series viewable on Netflix. So many other eligible shows don't have as many options to be legally seen, so seeing two shows like this make the block instead annoys me a little. But at least they're good shows, and not everyone can afford the DVDs or Netflix.jpanimation wrote:Also, as much as I love Rocko’s Modern Life, they should’ve had something else paired with Hey Arnold!, as Rocko’s Modern Life is already shown on Nicktoons Network, while there are many other shows that can’t be seen anywhere.
That would be good. The reception is going great so far (the odd complaining aside, but people complain about everything, so whatever), so who knows, maybe Nick will consider it. There really are enough series to fill a channel when you think about it.jpanimation wrote:This block really needs to become a network.
