The Rocketeer
Mary Poppins
Now, I love the Star Wars IV:A New Hope soundtrack very much, but I believe The Rocketeer even tops that in my book!
I noticed long ago that it's theme was used as a movie trailer track for Treasure Planet and some live action movie I can't recall -- it wasn't a "Disney" movie -- maybe it was for a Touchstone film....
Which Disney movie(s) do you think had the best soundtrack?

Top 5 for purely songs has to be :
1. The Little Mermaid
2. Enchanted
3. Beauty And The Beast
4. Peter Pan
5. Snow White
For soundtracks as a whole, with score and song, it would be :
1. The Little Mermaid
2. Sleeping Beauty
3. Beauty And The Beast
4. Enchanted
5. Alice In Wonderland
What is annoying though is that Disney never includes all of Alan Menken's underscore, only portions of it, which really bug me. And there is no logical reason for them not to include it as well, which makes it even more annoying.

For animated films... There was a thread a lot like this a few months back. But I think I remember saying Alice in Wonderland and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs had the most score pieces that stuck with me. Especially Snow White's "Magic Mirror" and "Animal Friends" and Alice's "Tugley Wood" and the background music during "T'was Brillig." Also, Peter Pan deserves a mention, especially for the unbelievably pretty "Mermaid Lagoon" piece. Oh, and Pinocchio for "Kitten Theme" and "Desolation Theme."
