The animation for Morning Report is very rough and it's a terrible song.

Well I don't think they are releasing 'Belle's Magical Christmas' so Lion King 1.5 and 2 probably won't make it either.

Hell, I don't even know why they vault DTV titles, but I guess, if it keeps crap off the market it has to be good.

Morning Report absolutely kills what was a nice little father/son bonding moment in the original. Of course, I'd like it as an option, but I don't think I'd ever watch it (same with Human Again) as they just seem disruptive.

And yeah. I don't where I stand on the DTVs getting released to blu-ray. I keep flip-flopping on the idea.
Yep...Space Buddies  http://www.amazon.com/Space-Buddies-BD- ... 741&sr=1-2

Hahaha... just because I don't want you to think I'm a complete idiot, I gotta tell you that I am actually aware that it's on bluray. I was kind of going along with your whole fake enthusiasm for it haha :P

Oh...sorry about that....that would be my Autism kicking in when to know sometimes when people are either going along with my sarcasm or are really asking in disbelief....espically typed on the computer its harder for me to tell ....

Anyway....I Bet....we won't see the Christmas Movie of Beauty and the Beast until holiday time 2011 perhaps...because this year they have A Christmas Carol....which is good.....then they also have The Legend of Santa Paws which im going to enjoy as much as the idea of me watching Space buddies in High def....major special effects with those films. :P

and then 2011 I bet they will release the Beauty and the Beast 2" Belle's Enchanted Christmas....and btw I think the 3rd one if you in your right mind can call it the third is still available....Beauty and the Beast: Bell's Magical World.....which I can see why thats not vaulted.....its not worth vaulting.....But I would bet we'd see the Christmas one on blu ray before they would even think about the 3rd one of BATB.....

It'd also be great if they had the sequels in Blu-ray too. I missed out on TLK 2: Simba's Pride, and I remember it was a very good sequel. We Are One was my favorite song in that one. :)

"We Are One" is a really good song. It must be cool to see "The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride" and "The Lion King 1.5" on Blu-ray. "The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride" I missed out on the DVD too.

If they had to add a new sequence for a special edition, I'd have preferred Nala's Shadowland song, it's beautiful and would have added dimension to the story. But since it's so somber I can understand why they turned to The Morning Report instead.
That or Endless Night. Why didn't they do one of those two anyway? I can't even understand why they even did the Morning Report to begin with.

Anyway I wish more deleted scenes/songs are in there like the laser disc.

Ahem. Call me naive if you must, but what in the world is a laser disc?

It's a format, like VHS, DVD, Blu-Ray, Betamax etc.

It's kind of like a giant, less practical version of a DVD.

I hope you don't think I actually like 'Human Again', because I do not like it when Disney adds scenes to classic movies. I much prefer the originals.

Because "Morning Report" was written for the movie, then deleted and later used for the musical whereas the other songs were written specifically for the stage show. Also I imagine they would want to stick with one of the John / Rice songs as opposed to the multifarious composers who contributed to the other Broadway songs.

So, when was Human Again actually bad? It actually flows with the movie. So what if your purist expectations weren't met? Objectively, it doesn't kill the movie. far from that, actually. And for once, the secondary characters aren't just comic relief.

Yeah I loved Human Again. I dunno, maybe because it was still the original cast and everything.... it didn't bother me as much as Morning Report did.

And this goes for everything, but I don't care WHAT they do to a movie, as long as they keep the original version preserved too (like they did with E.T. and, eventually, Star Wars... even if those are just letterbox transfers).
But the thing that makes Woody special, is he'll never give up on you... ever. He'll be there for you, no matter what.

Yes, it does. It kills the movie. It stops the story. And BatB already has severe problems with the flow of the story. Too much time is already taken away from Belle and the Beast, and 'Human again' doesn't help. It's a weak song and it was poorly animated.

I actually love Human Again. Back in the mid-90's I had the Music Behind the Magic CD set and became familiar with the demo of the song and how they weren't able to find a way to fit it into the film (especially with such a rigid deadline). Then, of course, the Broadway musical came out and was able to use the song.

Film-wise, I think it was done well with the return of the original cast. I know some people will disagree with me here, but I thought the animation matched the original portions of the movie well. But most of all, I thought it was a nice tribute to Howard Ashman that they were able to find a way to fit it back into the film (by removing the ticking-time clock aspect). I dunno, maybe it's because I'd already known the song for years, maybe it's because I already knew the movie inside-out that I don't feel a stop in the story, but every time it comes on I sorta forget it's gonna be there but find myself enjoying it.

As for The Morning Report . . . meh. Whenever it comes on it's somehow extra jarring and feels out of place. It doesn't bother me terribly either . . . it's just a little weird I guess.

Everyone's got their own opinion going on though. :p
