Maybe I wasn't paying attention.... but when I saw the title of this thread, I thought it was a new project that had just been rumored or mentioned. And I was like "Well now, that's an interesting name for whatever 2D film is coming after The Snow Queen! :o :? :D "

Needless to say, I was disappointed. :(

So... I guess we won't be seeing "A Kiss Before Dying" in several years, after all.

HAHAHA  when I saw this Margos I thought the exact same thing, I just didn't want to post it! I Actually think that this would have been a great title for a new movie, but I guess no luck...

But I do think that PatF will do well domestically. It only needs another $20 million and it breaks even. And I'm sure it can happen (cross my fingers).

Mind if I join in crossing fingers?

Anyway, I'll agree that it would be unwise for Disney to chuck hand-drawn due to the performance of the very first film it was brought back for . . . reopening the studio had to have been an investment they'll be looking to produce more films with.

Haven't you heard? It IS coming after The Snow Queen! 8) It's about a Princess who's cursed by an evil witch! Whenever she kisses anyone on the lips, they die. :o The only one who'll survive and break the curse is her true love. But she's so scared of killing potential true loves that she resigns to never kiss again. At least until she is kidnapped by the son of a Pirate King, who ravishes her and lived to tell the tale! ;) It's being directed by Mike Gabriel and Eric Goldberg and features seven new songs by Richard Sherman, marking his grand return to the Disney Animated Classics canon! :D

If you took any of that seriously, then you need to learn to only take me seriously when I say, "Seriously" somewhere in my post.

Well, TPatF has taken in a little over $707,000 dollars yesterday, totaling the gross to about $86.5 million. And I'm still praying that it makes it to at least the $100 million mark, if not regaining its budget domestically, so it won't be seen as an underperformer. Don't care if it's not a real word, BTW.

I saw it again for the second time last night & I must say that I enjoyed it a LOT more. Watching it the first time left me disappointed & underwhelmed but leaving the second viewing, I found myself thoroughly happy with the film as a whole. Even the hillbillies weren't as bothersome.

Maybe it's because the pacing didn't throw anything off because I was ready for it. I caught so much more after I just let myself go, threw out all the expectations & sat back and I highly recommend everybody else to do the same.

hearing talks of domestic vs. international earnings only serves to remind me of the New Line fiasco for some reason. :(

Don't worry. There's still time for the movie to earn money, hopefully over $100 million at least domestically, let alone gaining back its budget so people won't think it "underperformed".
