I really like the DVD cover art for this actually. I don't own the Platinum Edition (just the VHS) so I may get the Diamond Edition. Do you think they'll include the special features that had on the Platinum in the Diamond Edition?

Most of what is mentioned is already on the old platinum DVD. A few additions, and some minor exclusions are visible though.

There's most certainly going to be more stuff waiting to be classified.

My guess for now is that that segment is for both. The BBFC usually mark things as Blu-ray when on Blu-ray (but they're only as good as the information supplied to them from the studios).
The Walt Disney Company in London still cannot give me a confirmed Release Date for the Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs Blu Ray can you believe that on the 24th of June for the first full length Technicolor movie their company ever made and they still cannot confirm the exact Blu Ray street date the projected date is October 26th 2009 but this cannot be confirmed as yet!!!

Yes, quite easily, because Buena Vista Home Entertainment UK don't know their Arse from their Elbow. They're Crap!

It's very strange on the UK Disney site they're using the old Platinum Edition Cover Art for Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs and also the old 2001 Platinum Edition DVD trailer too instead of the new Blu Ray trailer how weird is that???

!BLASPHEMY ALERT!

Post by DonMickGoof »

I´ll gonna cause some blasphemy, but don´t understand why some people name Snow White a great movie, i think that The Jungle Book is much better.
Snow White is too oh-so-sweet! HORRIBLE! And those songs!

Just taking a wild guess here, but I think some of it has to do with the fact that it was Disney's first full-length animated film and if I remember correctly, I think some of the animation was kinda ground-breaking at the time, compared to some of what was out at the time.

Snow White's not among my top favorite Disney films, but I do give it a lot of respect. I mean, naturally some of the story and characters could've been given more development, but I think they did a pretty darn good job with what they had at the time.

I recently finished MMIBW, and I say the animation on Snow White was far more sophisticated than what was done a mere two years before. More romantic, and realistic too. It was groundbreaking, but not my favorite Disney film, either.

Hopefully Michael Eisner's pathetic "film exit/Streisand video intro" has been burned and banished to the rubbish heap of time. Chimp Boy had nothing to do with Snow White, and he had no place acting as if he did with his "from our family to yours" garbage. Lord I celebrated the day when he quit.

Given that it's an introduction to Babwa Streisand's rendition, and that's been replaced by some Disney Channel teenybopper, i think it's safe to say there will be no Mikey Eisner intro on the new edition. ;)
