Namine Finds New Voice; Christopher Lee Reprises Diz

Post by disneyboy20022 »

According to IMDB and Khinsider.com

Brittany Snow will not be returning for the voice of Namine in the North America release of Re: Chain Of Memories...replacing Snow will be Meaghan Jette Martin who played Tess in Disney Channel's Camp Rock as Tess

In Voice casting news for this game...Christopher Lee will be back voicing Diz/Ansem The Wise and its looking good that Quinton Flynn, who voiced Axel will be back...as well as Richard Epcar will also be back voicing his role as "Ansem"/Xehanort's Heartless.

There have been rumora of Tara Platt would be voicing Larxene but that rumor has been squashed according to www.khinsider.com

Well at least its not Demi Lovato or Miley Cyrus...Or Billy Ray Cyrus as Diz :P

and at least its not one of the Sprouse twins recasting the voice of Sora :P

Note* I like Suite Life and the New spin off on Deck as well as the Hannah Montana tv shows...but if it involves video games espically re-casting count me out...

Here's a prediction tease at who could voice Larxene...I think perhaps it will be Ashley Tisdale....

:P

Usually when someone is cast in Kingdom Heartsthat person has really done nothing for Disney...and usually it's someone who is actually an accomplished artist.

I liked it when they got cool people :(

Hm, let's see...

Since only the floors between the Disney worlds have voice acting (and certain cutscenes in Destiny Islands and Twilight Town, IIRC), and not counting confirmed VAs, that leaves:

Lexaeus
Marluxia
Larxene

Squenix/Disney can probably bring back Wayne Allwine for King Mickey, and either company probably won't be needing many more VAs for Re:CoM, then...

Selena Gomez whould voice Larxene?.
Anyway they should stop it.
And by the way about the game-I saw the cutscenes of some of the worlds on YouTube and doesn't anyone think that they used many cutscenes from the first game in Wonderland? (Also I loved Alice's expression when Queen Of Hearts left).

Well, the theme of CoM is about memory...

I know some of my friends like to nickname CoM as Kingdom Hearts 1.5 because Sora essentially travels the same worlds from KH, minus Deep Jungle.

But couldn't they used new cutscenes? they used the same ones from the first game, the other worlds has new cutscenes.
Speaking of Deep Jungle-Why it was only in the first game? and not the other games and things like the Manga?.

What new cutscenes? Specifics, please.

I've been checking the Theater Mode in my JP copy of Re:CoM, AFAIK the cutscenes in the individual worlds are almost identical to the original CoM on the GBA, language aside.

By any chance did you ever play the original CoM?

About Deep Jungle: I've heard it's down to copyright issues -- Edgar Rice Burroughs' estate still holds the rights to the Tarzan character as well as the later Tarzan books that haven't passed into public domain.

What I mean is that, for exmaple all the cutscene in Halloween Town,Agrabah,Neverland and Atlantica have all new cutscenes while in Wonderland they re-used many cutscenes from the first Kingdom Hearts (Like the cutscenes when they first see Alice in trial and the White Rabbit climbs the stairs are the same cutscenes from the first game).
No,I really wanted to buy it but couldn't find it anywhere and when I found it online the website was already gone.
Weird,I guess that Pride Lands is replacing it.

Cool, I can't wait to get the new "Kingdom Hearts" game. I have the first two on the PS2, but sadly it won't work on the PS3. :( But this PS3 system plays only PS1 (PSX) and PS3 games, but all PS2 games won't work.

But I hope if there is a game for PS3, but I wish I can get it! I love all of the "Kingdom Hearts" games, but I'm looking forward to get it for Christmas.

...Do you really want to know? Re:CoM's only a couple of weeks away from release.

Spoilers for Chain of Memories to follow, FYI, unless you've already read the spoilers at the Kingdom Hearts wikia, read the game script at GameFAQs, or (for everyone else) already played the original CoM.

In Wonderland, Alice is accused of stealing the Queen of Heart's memories and put on trial. To save Alice, Sora claims he was the thief who stole the Queen's memories. This is why it looks like Wonderland's scenes in KH were recycled in Re:CoM.

In Halloweentown, Jack Skellington isn't trying to make a heart for the Heartless. He's actually trying to find a way to rid Halloweentown of the Heartless due to an experiment in Dr. Finkelstein's lab that went wrong.

In Agrabah, Aladdin's three wishes are essentially the same as in KH. AFAIK there's no difference between KH and CoM, other than Aladdin telling everyone he'd rather show Jasmine his true self.

In Neverland, Wendy wants to return to London and this makes Peter Pan angry. Peter says if Wendy were to return to London she'll never see him again, as she'll grow up and eventually forget about him.

In Atlantica, Ursula's kidnapped Flounder and Ariel has to bring King Triton's trident in exchange.

In a sense, Halloweentown, Neverland, and Atlantica could be termed as having "new" cutscenes as they deviated significantly from their storylines in KH, but only because all the worlds that Sora visits are not real, being based on his memories in the first game. CoM/Re:CoM takes place entirely in one location, Castle Oblivion, and the individual storylines in each revisited world revolve one way or another around the theme of memories.

Let me guess...You have the 40GB PS3...am I right?

because if so perhaps all you need is a patch you can download off the net...though I don't have any clue on how to go about doing it...I think DarthPrime might be able to help you out in that department..

Not meaning to get off subject however.....since there might be problems with people buying RE: Com or buying PS2 games then playing them on the PS3 I think this short list might help...

Here is a list (as I understood and still understand) of PS3 and the differs on each one...

PS3 20 GB - Discontinued and is backwards compatible....will play all Playstation 1/X Playstation 2 and Playstation 3 games...it has no ports other than the USB Ports so no memory card slots...however to play your PS2/PS1 game saves off of your memory cards....however all you need is a Memory card adapter which you plug into one of the four PS3 USB Ports then you insert your memory card into the adapter and copy the files to the hard drive of the PS3 that way your previous game saves from your PS2 and/or PS1 or both....and does not have a memory stick slot (I think I am forgetting something about wireless internet not being able to work without a correct hookup) - Price was $499 at launch and was very quickly discontinued

PS3 60 GB - Discontinued and is backwards compatible..This was the $599 price the one one which in my opinion is/was the best one...it had the memory card slots even a memory stick slot (PSP memory card slot) You could do wireless internet without a ethernet cable...

PS3 40GB - All I know about this it will only play PS3 games and Blu Rays and perhaps DVDs (although I could be wrong about the DVD part) I heard there was a patch that was/is or was coming that you could download to make your 40GB play a variety of PS2/PS1 games with no trouble...price was/is $399 and if you get the 40gb keep your PS2 unless you want to download a patch...(again not sure how to do that please refer to DarthPrime or another UD Forum Member) Again this one is mainly for those that want a cheap blu ray player or to play the limited amount of PS3 games out on the market that are any good.

PS3 80 GB - Probably the second best option in my opinion to the 60 GB I believe it is also backwards compatible as well....and is probably the best one to get for the PS3 that is out on the market If you don't own a PS3 and want one but want to play your PS2 games and PS1 games Buy this one.....at one point it was $499 but now I heard it dropped in Price for $399

PS3 180 GB - I have only heard rumors on this one.....I think it will replace the 80 GB PS3 with a price of $499...

Nope! I have a PS3 which is an 80 GB console, but it does not use memory stick as well as games that are not compatible are the PS2 games. Only PS1 and PS3 games only.

Okay I just found the official site...apparently there are 2 differ model of the 80GB...

One is backwards compatible and one is not....

Apparently The 80GB that is from August of 2007 Is back wards compatible while the 80 GB that was at the $399 price for September of 2008 is not....

Anyway here is the info on backwards Compatibilities of the PS3 from the 20 go to the 160GB which will be available in Nov 2008 and will not be backwards compatible

Here is a report from

www.khinsider.com about Josh Keaton voicing Zexion..
Most of you by now have heard the rumour of Josh Keaton voicing Zexion in the upcoming Kingdom Hearts: Re:Chain of Memories. The rumours began on Wikipedia, and now IMDb is reporting that it is true. Well, IMDb hasn't always been known for being completely reliable in the past, so I went ahead and sent an e-mail to the Manager of Josh Keaton's Official Site for further confirmation. This was his response:

It would be news to me. I have no record of Josh working on that game. IMDB entries are user editable a-la-Wikipedia (not the most reliable source of info)

Is this an official confirmation that Josh Keaton will not be voicing Zexion? For the moment, take it how you please, but all things seem to be pointing that the rumour is in fact false. We'll keep you updated as more Re:CoM casting news surfaces.

Also in other Square enix news from Khinsider
Square-Enix has appeared on the roster for Games Japan Festa 2008 (not to be confused with Jump Festa). Games Japan Festa is an event that will be taking place in Japan November 15th-16th. The titles that Square-Enix will be showcasing have not been announced yet, but it's something to look forward to until December when Jump Festa comes around. We'll keep you posted as more details emerge.

Hmm, I'll get it probably, I really hate when they make games into card games though, I would have rather had the game with the normal Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts 2 gameplay.

Uh...I did mention earlier in the thread that Re:CoM plays exactly like the first Kingdom Hearts, right? And that you control the camera with the right analog stick like Kingdom Hearts 2...right?
