It's possible that I'm voting the wrong way here... taking points off of things I mean to add points to. I may need some clarification, but here's what I was TRYING to vote for:
I was upset when they got rid of hand-drawn animation at Disney. The fact that they're going back to it is one of the best ideas I've heard in a very long time. Based on the wording of that one, I thought I was voting against the "RETURN of 2D" being controversial. 2D's return to Disney is the least controversial thing ever, in my opinion... so I voted that one out.
The way I understood it is that I'm supposed to vote out the stuff that I disagree with... the stuff I don't find controversial. If the other one had said, "Re-dubbing Snow White's voice," I wouldn't have voted it out. But it said to please do it. I disagree with that. I don't think Snow White's voice should be re-dubbed. I think it should be exactly what it was the day it was released.
If I'm voting the wrong way here, I'm glad someone finally corrected me. All I know is that I'm glad Disney bought Pixar, Snow White's original voice isn't my favorite but I don't think it should be changed, I'm thrilled Disney is returning to 2D, the Disney Channel's Vault Disney should still be around, and Michael Eisner's last few years WERE that bad. That's what I was trying to vote for. I probably misunderstood the voting process in some way, but I agree with you, Disney Duster... re-dubbing Snow White's voice and Disney dropping 2-D are hugely controversial, and I disagree with both. If I've done it wrong, maybe we should take this thing back a month or so in time so I can start voting the right way.

Hurt or Heal: Disney Controversy
Yea, unfortunately the wording of the topics is...slightly...ambiguous. And confusing. So...maybe we need straight wording like "The re-dubbing of Snow White's voice" or "The elimination of 2-D at Disney" or "The last years of Eisner". Hopefully Escapay comes in here and we can work things out.

Regarding how to pick what to hurt/heal, just a repeat (and some addendums) of what I said in a post on the first page:
All the topics are controversial in that the very idea of them will send fans and non-fans in a debate over whether or not it's a good idea (or whether or not it's true, such as the "Walt's head is frozen!" one). Thus, just the very idea of re-dubbing Snow White's voice (be it in the "the film will now be presented this way for future generations" or "it's a nice novelty") will spark controversy. It doesn't matter if it says "please re-dub" or "the voice is being re-dubbed". The very idea of a re-dubbing is controversial enough, regardless if Disney did it or not.
Regarding how to hurt/heal, you hurt a topic if you don't think it's controversial enough to merit being the last controversial topic left, and you heal a topic if you want it to stand out as the most controversial (which is somewhat the same as getting the most controversy). So in the case of Snow White, if you think re-dubbing is the worst idea ever and that it shouldn't be done under any circumstances, vote to heal it (so it remains the last controversial topic standing). But if you feel it's not as controversial as "Walt's Head is Frozen", then vote to hurt it.
The point of the game is to see which topic is the most controversial, thus, you want to heal ideas you hate (because it's sure to have more controversy) and hurt ideas you're not as hateful towards (because to you, it could have less controversy).
I don't think I'll reword any of the topics, because to me they seem rather self-explanatory (asking to re-dub Snow White is an abysmal idea to most, just as the shift from 2D to 3D to 2D shows my annoyance at Disney being flip-floppy). But if someone else wants to, by all means, go ahead.

If it's all right, then, I'd like to return to the past on this thing and put the vote back to what it was before I misunderstood and ran it off course. I say we go back to about July 23rd... but still keep Disney Duster's and Escapy's votes since then.
