Behold:

Ariel is a mermaid, as you see.
I couldn't find one of Jasmine and Mulan, but they look the same as these.
I have seen their pictures in a store somewhere, so that is how I know.
(And Poca wasn't there!)
Mulan in her green/girl clothing and Jas in the dress she wore in the 2e sequel, only dark purple.

Back to the original topic: I used to have a Disney book of Snow white which showed the exactly same picture of Snow White's mother as posted on this forum, in colour. Wonder who drew this picture first, since it was not in the original movie. Maybe it was taken from an abandoned scene?
( I know they deleted two scenes in which the dwarfs were eating soup/building a bed for Snow White)

Yes, there was a Snow White Golden Book from the 1980s which features a picture of Snow White's mother ( I have the book as well!), but it is a reprint of the book that was originally published in 1948. This must have been a trend because I also have similar Cinderella and Alice in Wonderland books. In fact, I specifically hated my Cinderella book when I was little because the pictures looked nothing like the movie. I've always figured that the reasoning behind books not matching up with the movie has something to do with the illustrations being based on concept art, maybe even preceding the film itself by a year or two. Obviously the 1948 Snow White book would not fit that scenario, but who knows. Maybe that version is a reprint of an even older one. I'll do my research/keep my eyes open in antique stores.
WIST #1 (The pinkrenata Edition) -- Kram Nebuer: *mouth full of Oreos* Why do you have a picture of Bobby Driscoll?
