I have to bump this thread a little bit, but I was listening to the LP "Chilling, Thrilling Sounds of the Haunted House" LP which is now available on iTunes, on side 2 which is the second track of that album, they had the "Thunder, Lightning & Rain" sounds on there. You know why, this part of the track was later used as the intro to an R&B soul classic by the Dramatics entitled "In the Rain". I've heard the same sound on iTunes which is the same track was on song #15 in the preview section of the iTunes Music Store and this is what it sound like when it was used in as an intro to that song at :15.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KWgjbkxhOX4

The intro starts with a series of thunderclap sounds which was not-Disney along with a rain sound used from a Disneyland LP "Chilling, Thrilling Sounds of the Haunted House" and then, the music starts. You might hear the same rain sound from the Disneyland LP in the middle and at the end of the song. Apparently, this was not a Disney song, but it does have elements from that album as well.

Since I'm still on the subjuct on all the Disney albums including the reissued Disneyland LP's, I was at a number of stores like Best Buy, FYE, Hannaford and any other store that they sell $25, $25 or $50 iTunes prepaid card. This card is a lot similar to the AT&T Pay As You Go card, because of the minutes. With the iTunes prepaid card, you can download any song or the whole album at any price. No credit cards or Paypal accepted. You should check it out next time if you can go to the store and get the iTunes card or order it from the Apple.

And speaking of iTunes, I see mostly some blogs that has the Disney albums that are downloading it from, I guess it's either file sharing links like Megaupload or Rapidshare. If anyone can visit to any types of blogs dedicated to out of print albums except the Disney ones, be careful. If not, buy it on iTunes and stay away from these file sharing links like Megaupload, Rapidshare, Mediafire, Depositfiles and so on.

If anyone paid for one of these albums and feels like sharing... PM me and I can send you a decrypter...

Then I can host the files for all to enjoy - why have everyone pay $10 per album? If you're not a hardcore anti-pirate, I'm sure you wouldn't mind not having to pay so much for songs. (Especially considering how old they are...)

'Cause actually paying $10 will encourage Disney to release more of them. If they knew they were just going to be pirated by everyone they wouldn't bother. These titles are not exactly mainstream giant money makers.

Not to mention that UD has an affiliation with iTunes, so by making this suggestion here you're offering to steal potential revenue for this site. I wonder if your lack of respect for intellectual property rights extends to physical property as well?

Since UD is against the trading of bootleg movies (see the rules post by Luke in the trade forum), I think it is safe to assume the trading of pirated songs is also not allowed. Any trading of pirated music through PM would be considered PM abuse, and it will more than likely result in suspension of your PM privileges. I would highly suggest that no one take drfsupercenter up on his offer. Of course, we can not control what anyone does through their own personal email.

Has anyone purchased the 20,000 Leagues album from iTunes? I have not been able to open the digital booklet, and I'm curious if anyone else has been successful?

Perhaps mine is corrupt, but iTunes will not allow me to re-download it, they just offer to refund my money and de-authorize the album, which is not what I want.

Does anyone think that Disney will put the soundtrack for The One and Only, Genuine, Original Family Band on iTunes anytime soon? It's not on CD at all (and I don't think that it was ever on cassette, either), and I'd really like it. I don't personally use iTunes, but I could either try burning to a CD (someone just told me how), or ask my parents if they could try. But I really would like that soundtrack...

Family Band has fantastic songs - especially the climactic election scene. I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

Disney has released bits and pieces from the "Family Band" soundtrack on various compilations through the years (two songs are on the latest Sherman Brothers collection: "'Bout Time" and "The Happiest Girl Alive", I believe); but a complete soundtrack would be very welcome. :)

With a user name of Cordy Biddle, I would imagine you'd be supportve of late 60's and early 70's Disney musicals.

Happiest Millionaire is fantastic, by the way.

Question:

A friend recently told me how to make a CD from iTunes downloads. I haven't tried it, and the only time I used iTunes was kind of unsuccessful and I ended up downloading the songs elsewhere. I have no iPod, either and no blank CDs, for that matter. :p

Hypothetically speaking, would it be possible for someone to download some albums off of iTunes, burn them to CD, and mail them to me? I could ask my parents, but my dad only uses iTunes as a media player, not to download. Would anyone here be able to do that for me? I'd pay you for the download and shipping, of course. Some of the albums I want are only on iTunes:

Saludos Amigos/ The Three Caballeros
The Parent Trap
Babes in Toyland
Summer Magic
The Black Cauldron
The Princess Diaries (score)

Any help would be appreciated! :)

Classic Disneyland Record albums on iTunes

Post by The_Iceflash »

I don't know if everyone knows this but there are many Disneyland record albums that were never made available on CD but Disney made them available for purchase on iTunes.

I just purchased the 'Walt Disney Presents Songs from the Mickey Mouse Club Serials' album from it.

Note: If anyone thinks thread would be more appropriate in the Disney Discussion it could be moved there.
