My DVD wishlist:

Gattaca: Superbit Edition
Howl's Moving Castle: 2-Disc Edition (R1)
Ratatouille
Robin Hood: Men In Tights
The Simpsons Movie (Widescreen)
Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow (Widescreen)

My CD wishlist:

Batman (Original Motion Picture Score) - Danny Elfman
Hook (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) - John Williams

Most of these items are well under $20 (Gattaca: SB is OOP now, so it's going to be a little bit more expensive should my Secret Santa wish to get that for me).

Actually, I LIKE seeing long wish lists. I live in a town with only ONE store that sells DVDs/CDs/Books/etc....Wal-Mart. And the store is so poorly stocked. So having a long list makes it easier for me, since I have a better chance at finding something someone really wants. :D

Well, you can buy stuff online (and most of the time, it's way cheaper than going to Wal-mart). Stores like Amazon and Deep Discount have a wider variety of items, plus they do offer stuff like free shipping and gift-wrapping options.

It's probably safe to assume Region 1 if your recipient is in the United States, as region-free players aren't especially prevalent here. Do specify if you collect DVDs from multiple regions, however, or if you're not in the States.

As of now, all the assignments have gone out - if you still haven't gotten yours by Thursday, send me an e-mail and I'll get it to you. Thanks!

Books: (easily found on amazon.com)
The Art of Cars
The Art of Pixar: A 100 Collectible Cards

Just checked my email and.... Nope! No assignment yet. :)

A note to my Secret Santa - Please don't send out my gift until after December 1st. It's just a personal preference; I enjoy receiving my gifts at least two weeks after Turkey Day. :)

Like last year, if you're a Disney Movie Club member, I would really like one of these movies on VHS, not DVD:

(in order of preference)
1. Cars
2. The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe
3. Herbie: Fully Loaded

If you're not a DMC member, don't sweat it. :) Here are some films on DVD that I am interested in receiving (all Widescreen, Region 1 preference):

Rescue Dawn (out 11/20)
Hot Rod (out 11/27)
Hot Fuzz: 3Disc Collector's Edition (out 11/27)
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End 2Disc set (out 12/4)
Superbad: Original Theatrical Edition
The Producers (2005)
1408: 2Disc Set
Troy: 2Disc Director's Cut
Blades of Glory
Wild Hogs
Bridge to Terabithia

Some TV seasons I'd like (these are WAY out of price range, but I noticed others putting these online, so...):

My Name Is Earl: Season 2
Lost: Seasons 1, 2 and 3
The Office: Seasons 1, 2 and 3
Studio 60: Complete Series
Heroes: Season 1

If you're interested in getting something other than a DVD, I love movie posters. I realize they are more expensive, so I'm not expecting any of these and merely posted them for fun. :) Some cool ones I'm interested in:

The Departed
American Gangster
The Kingdom
Hot Fuzz
Jurassic Park
We Own The Night

I may add to this later, but I'll be happy and thankful for anything I get. :)

Cheers,
JM :thumb:

Here's a list of things I'd like to get this year. Of course, it's not comprehensive, but hopefully it gives my "Cindy Lou-Who" (to quote Escapay) an idea. I'll be happy with anything! The DVDs below aren't listed in order of preference or anything; hopefully it offers a wide range of options.

For all DVDs, please choose Region 1 and Original Aspect Ratio, where available...

Saved by the Bell: Seasons 3-4
Soapdish
Sound of Music: 40th Anniversary Edition
Touched by an Angel: Season 2

TaleSpin: Volume 1
The Even Stevens Movie

CDs
Legally Blonde: The Musical - Soundtrack
Any Amy Grant CD Singles (Other than: "Simple Things", "This is My Father's World", "Child of God") ... You'll have to look on eBay and other such places for these

Books
Walt Disney: An American Original by Bob Thomas
Since the World Began: Walt Disney World - The First 25 Years

<hr>

Here is a link to my DVD collection (just keep in mind that not every DVD is in there and the wish list on there hasn't been kept up to date)... http://awallaceunc.dvdaf.com/

Thanks in advance to whoever my Secret Santa is this year. I got my assignment and can't wait to get a gift and send it! Merry Christmas, everyone! :santa:

This is definitely not comprehensive whatsoever. In fact, I'll probably keep updating it over the next few days.

If you buy DVD, please make sure they're R1 and OAR. Thanks!!

and on the off chance you're a UK UDer (or dont mind importing for that matter), this is probably the #1 thing above all on my list...

No matter, any gift is certainly appreciated!
