Yes, it is a huge improvement over the Ice Climber stage in Melee. They have some great stages that they have already revealed. I just can't imagine what stages they've got that they haven't revealed!
green hill zone probably be Sonic' stage.

I'm hoping Hyrule Temple and few other Melee levels to be back.

And as for Newcomer I'm hoping for RAY MK III from Robo Custom Nintendo DS.

Does anyone know how many characters are going to be in Brawl? I've seen the ones announced so far, but I keep hearing different numbers on total characters (although I assume most are just rumors anyway).

No one knows for sure. But many estimate to be around 40.

first we have 23 characters confimred so far.

Pit
Mario
Wario
Peach
Zero Suit Samus
Samus
Solid Snake
Lucas
Bowser
Pokemon Trainer
Ike
Diddy Kong
Donky Kong
Pikachu
Kirby
King Dedede
Meta Knight
Sonic
Yoshi
Fox
Link
Zelda
Ice Climbers.

That's 23 so far. Then supposely they going have all non clones(except Ganondorf) return too.

Luigi
Captian Falcon
Jigglypuff
Mewtwo
Mr. Game and Watch
Shiek(semi confirmed)
Ganondorf(semi confirmed)

That's 30 right there, plus some more newcomers and we can assume it'll rake up to about 40 characters.

I'm hoping RAY MK III from Custom Robo joins Brawl.

New update: Lucas' special moves. http://www.smashbros.com/en_us/characters/lucas.html

Those of you may not know who he is or anything, he's one of main characters in Mother 3 that didn't get release in USA Mother 3 is sequel to Mother 2(aka as Earthbound home of Ness)

That said, most of his specials are like Ness like PK thunder, PK fire, and PSI magnetism.

People are now saying this really deconfirm Ness for Brawl. I'm not going to say anything about that until game actually out but want to know what you guys think about it.

And then today is another Samus stage based on Metroid Prime series called Frigate Orpheon.

Both stages seems qutie interesting. I'm getting more and more exicted for this game.

How will you play it? :?

And more importantly, where can Nintendo of Europe stuff their release dates? I demand to know!

Seriously, with PS3 and 360 titles coming out all-but worldwide, including all the European languages, it seems pathetic a game like Smash Bros with its limited language can't come out with a worldwide release date.

Look at all the text and speech in Bioshock or Mass Effect or Oblivion... they managed it.
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

Yep, a Japanese Wii will be firmly fixed beside my forever gathering dust European Wii. The delays are ridiculous...Zack and Wiki, Brawl...what next? Wii Fit and No More Heroes?

Hmm, I may or may not get this one. It looks very similar to Melee, except for the new character set. And I really don't see what the big deal is about Solid Snake, he just looks like a soldier from one of those shooter games. Never been a Sonic fan either. :|

My excitement for this title has went down as well. The one thing keeping me excited about this is online play. Thats really it.

At least I'll finally have something to play on the Wii again. Its been collecting dust for awhile now (since Galaxy).

I think people will be blown away when they finally see this game. It will be my main reason for having a Wii. The replay value is unlimited. People still play melee (myself included). The fact that they included a level editor will keep this game fresh for a very, very long time.

Would it be easier to just announce characters NOT appearing in Brawl? :)

Very much looking forward to this. Combines two of my favourite things: crossovers and beating the living snot out of cute characters.
