Did some stores stop carrying WideScreen Versions of movies?
Sometimes TM2, the glass is half full you know, not half empty.
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

I've tried in the past to tell people the difference, but lately I just don't bother. If people want to get the Fullscreen versions thats fine with me. They are the ones watching it, not me. What I've found lately is that more people than you think know the difference between Full and Widescreen, they just don't care.
Most people have 4:3 TVs and the 2009 switch only effects people that are getting programming over the air. Sure more people will have Widescreen TVs in 2009 than 2007, but they will still have the "black bar" issue. I have no doubt they will still buy Fullscreen and then stretch it to fill the screen. Either that or get Widescreen and zoom in on any movie wider than 1.85:1. I hope this doesn't happen, but eventually we will probably have Fullscreen HD DVD and Blu-ray discs so it will "fill" the 16:9 HDTVs.
People have been living with Fullscreen/Pan and Scan movies for so long that its going to take a lot to change it. Honestly I think the only way to change it anymore is for all studios to release everything OAR.
