If you wish to believe that Madonna and her music is still relevant and doesn't suck anymore, than go on in your dream world. I don't care.

Tell that to the MILLIONS of people around the world who have purchased Madonna's last album. Tell that to the hundreds of thousands of people who sold out her recent concert tour, which is the highest grossing tour for a female artist in history. The thing is, I'm not the only person who likes Madonna. Her music is still extremely relevant, and it doesn't suck. As they say, so many people can't be wrong.

I'm not going to argue with you about this, anymore. You feel one way, I feel another. Just know that the statistics, numbers, and sales all go against what you believe.

I'm more concerned with making a big fuss about my "gay guy" statement. Let me just say that that was meant as a joke, sarcasm, attempt at humor gone horribly bad. I, in no way whatsoever, meant it literally. I have nothing against gays (obviously, seeing as I'm gay myself). I guess it's hard sometimes on these forum thingys to say what you really mean.

You may not believe me, but I am a fan of Madonna (just not of her recent stuff). I've seen her in concert twice. And come on, any Madonna fan would say that that photo of her is not the greatest (that "heroin addict" was another attempt at a joke - man, maybe I should just not make any jokes anymore).

You haven't pissed me off, or made an enemy of me. As far as not joking, it's just extremely hard to tell when someone is making a joke, or being sarcastic, on a message board. It's unfortunate, but, it happens. I'm not taking anything you said to heart.

I do agree with you about the picture of Madonna. It certainly isn't the best picture I've seen of her. I have noticed, lately, that Madonna seems to be less concerned with being all dressed up and made up in photos of her just being "out on the town". She just seems to be going for a less made up look, which is fine. I did read an interview, recently, where she said she tries to wear the same type of clothing, and not fix herself up, because, maybe then, people will get tired of taking photos of her, when she always looks the same. So, maybe that's why she has been looking more "natural", lately.

Hmm, really did not wow me. It actually seemed boring to me. Maybe he outdid himself on What Goes Around, and has run out of creative juices? They're good visual graphics though, but then again, it shouldn't have used up 600 kilowatts of power to produce.

I have to say that I'm disappointed with that video. LoveStoned/I Think She Knows is easily one of my favorite songs off of his album, but that video really didn't do it justice. I agree with you, James, that it was boring. There wasn't really any story to follow, it was just him flopping around with a bunch of visual effects that make him look blue.

It definitely could have been much better.

I use to love Madonna. I just think the past couple of years her newer music isn't that good and she looks awful.

First of all, I don't exactly see what the way she looks has got to do with her being a great artist. Secondly, she is a great artist and if she never made another album, she would still be one of the greatest artists in pop music history, IF-not THE greatest. You want to debunk that, you'll be doing it alone- even if you try to do it in any crowd. So, really... who's living in a dream world?

But... since you brought it up... No, I don't think she looks that great. And maybe her last album wasn't her best (though personally, I think it was better than 2000's Music and certainly outlived the hype). But she's still a long way from ready-to-be-put-out-to-pasture. And a lot more people than you're willing to accept are waiting for that next Madonna album. Straight and gay alike.

Yeah, true. When you get up to four, the videos do start to slide, so yeah, I wasn't expecting much either. Most artists do tend to slope downward on the creativity from there, so yeah, I guess I can forgive him. But the fifth single (which there'll most likely be) will be worse, so we should be thankful for what we've got now.
