it'd be cool to see Jafar, either in his genie form or his human form. If they make a Maleficent one, I hope it's the dragon form!

This seems intresting and I'll definatley watch it. I hope The Queen or Chernabog will be the fifth cake but Maleficent or Jafar are more likely because their more popular. I can't wait for the Ursula cake though.

Simba3 how many cakes are there suposed to be? if it's just five i'd rather they have Male, Jafar, or the witch. here's one that would be hilarious, a Queen of Hearts cake. then we can be OFF WITH HER HEAD!!!!

There will be 5 cakes. I actually thought it would be cool to make a Queen of Hearts cake, but I am hoping for a Maleficent cake.

that's not fair with them only having five cakes. why couldn't they make it a nice round number say 30. that way nobody would be dissapointed if their villain isn't there since they would be there.

I can confirm that the 5th cake at the Food Network Cake Competition will be Jafar. I would have preferred to see Maleficent (preferrably in Dragon form) or even the Queen from Snow White, but I guess Jafar will suffice. Can't wait to see how they all turn out.

I'm a little surprised Hook is in the place of a slightly more popular villain, but with the pirates craze and general Peter Pan love, I guess I can see it happening. I wold have liked Maleficent in fairy form because her flame-like robes would have been under-cool, and the raven and the staff, maybe?

But maybe Jafar will be in...SNAKE FORM! Let's hope! He's better as a snake. Ooohhh or what about EVIL GENIE?!!!!!!! Looks like you might get the cake you wanted, Jasmine1022.

I'm a bit sad about there being no Maleficent cake (it would have been sooooo awesome!) but Jafar will be cool to see.

My bet is on the Ursula cake being my favorite though.

From just what I saw in the brief preview, the Captain Hook cake looks the best.

BUMP

Sorry to double post, but I just wanted to bump this thread and remind everyone that the Disney Villain Cake Competion will premiere tonight at 10pm on Food Network. I realize now that I will conflict with those wanting to watch the Tony Awards, so if you don't have a DVR, don't worry Food Network will replay the special multiple times, so you will be able to catch it another time.

I just checked the Food Network Canada website and it appears that this show won't be airing here in Canada. That sucks! :(

I guess I'll wait for YouTube.....

This is only moderately off-topic, but Disney Villain, your new signature is awesome! Does that come from a nighttime performance of "Dream Along with Mickey" or the villains castle stage show? Or something else?

Oh, and to get back on topic, I'm DVRing the villains cake special tonight. Can't wait! Disney villains + cake = :D

FOR STATERS: I WILL BE WRITING ABOUT THE SHOW -- REVIEWING AND STATING MY OPINIONS, IF YOU DO NOT YET WANT TO KNOW THE OUTCOME OF THE SHOW, DO NOT READ THE REST OF THIS POST!

I was really excited to catch this Cake Competition. I am a huge fan of all the Food Network Challenges, especially the cake competitions, so I was really happy to hear there would be a special featuring Disney villains. It was really fun to watch the show and see the cakes progress. However, it was very apparent from early on that there were going to be a couple amazing cakes and some other decent cakes.

Jafar - The creation wasn't very great, especially in comparison with some of the others. The creator of the cake was in her first ever Cake Competition and it definately showed. I give her props for her effort, she did a pretty good job, but it was very obvious that she was an amateur competing among some professionals. I think if she had more time, it could have been a little better. I also wish she would have incorporated Iago into the cake.

Scar - I think Scar was the most disappointing of all the cakes. Scar is one of my most favorite Disney villains and I thought him cake did not turn out very well. I thought the mechanical arm was an interesting touch, but I think the creator was more focused on that than on the cake itself. I also thought it was a little bland since the entire cake was just Scar and no other details. I thought he should have incorporated some of the Hyenas or some other form of detail.

Ursula - As the judges stated, the Ursula cake was completely off color. She was a very dark purple and she should have been a softer lavander. I thought she was sculpted quite well. Overall I though Ursula was pretty good, I was very happy she incorporated Flotsam and Jetsam, but the cake didn't shine quite as bright in comparison to the remaining two.

Cruella - I thought the Cruella cake was really creative and fun, I loved the overall theme of the cake. I thought the detail was really amazing, and Cruella looked pretty good. I loved the elaborate background she was in and the puppies on the cake.

Captain Hook - This cake was the clear winner, it was totally amazing looking. The theme of the cake was really awesome and everything about the cake looked perfect. The color and animation in the cake was right on. Simply amazing!!

What did everyone else think of the show?

I think the right winners were chosen by the judges. The Ursula cake was very good, but I agree with that one judge that said the cake actually looked better in white than it did painted. The Cruella cake was gorgeous, especially the background details. Her face was kind of simple in comparison to the rest of the cake, though. The Hook cake was definitely the best. Not only were the characters the most on-model of all the cakes, but the colors were perfect and filled with details. I would've loved to have seen a Queen of Hearts or Lady Tremaine cake.

my thoughts on the cakes:
Scar: i'll start with what i thought was the worst one. it was hideous. he looked better without the licarous and he should've used icing instead. and it was to simple and to mechanical. if he didn't try to work more on the mechanices and more on the cake and design he would've done better.
Jafar: since she was a first-timer i'll give her some props. the podium was a so-so thing but the lamp was fantastic. but i was dissapointed with Jafar himself since she spent the last 3-2 hours on him so she should've worked on him first and he would've looked fantastic or if she made the cake small like the Cruella one.
Ursula: this cake was good looking but the face was a little off. the bottom eel didn't look right but the shade of dark purple looked better on her than the lavender.
Cruella: this cake was gorgeous. if i get married one day i would deffiantly want this cake. i liked the idea that it was 2d instead of 3d. i also loved how the dalmatians wrapped the leash around her leg.
Hook: this cake i knew would win. it looked just like the real thing. the color was accurate. you can tell he took his time with the design and the colors.
