So...any reason why Julian Carter's now a "Guest"?

I'm just here to say that I fully support being amused by the avatar war...to an extent.

Remember when your account got deleted (or whatever happened)...all the Guests' posts have your name on them.

But this has nothing to do with that incident.

In the linked thread, *my account* (not me!) starts s thread requesting for myself to be banned! How mad is that!?

I didn't type that. The only way that must have happened is if someone knows my password and used my account.

Or Luke simply wants to turn my hair white!

Did you really sign up with UD in March of 2006? What I meant is, I think that anyone who ever signed up as a Guest used to have their posts say "Guest", but now they have your name, since that incident about your account happened, even though they're obviously not you...this is just my guess...

Julian - I originaly signed up in April 2003 using the name JimmyJackJr then forgot about it and signed up again in September 2003 as JimmyJackJunior and then subsequently changed my name to Mr. Toad.

I became confused and started posting under both JimmyJackJr and JimmyJackJunior and asked Luke to delete JimmyJackJr. When he did so it changed all of my posts as Jimmy Jack Jr to Guest. When Luke accidently made you a guest he then gave you all of the posts of Guest when he signed you back up.

That is the tale of how you came to acquire my posts made as JimmyJackJr including the one to please delete the account.

Perhaps more amusing is the rants of boss and Tangela when they created fake user names that you have also acquired.

 Thanks Mr. Toad, but this is too funny! Now I get it!

One problem though - if recent UDers come across posts by Tangela and see them in my name ... um ... what if Tangela says stuff that I don't usually say?

You know what I mean.

BTW, my post count remained the same though, after Luke restored me. At first it increased (I guess those were yours and Tangela's posts added to mine) but then Luke fixed it and gave me my old post count.

Click on your name and you can see the posts that arent yours on pages 61-65 when you go to see all posts by this user.

These would seem to fit into the following categories
1) In the first couple of weeks people could post to any forum without signing in
2) For a couple of years you could post to feedback without signing in
3) People who posted using fake names that were subsequently taken away.
4) The afforementioned posts of JimmyJackJr may he rest in peace.

Thanks Mr. Toad. :) I checked out pages 61 -65. You know, it's actually quite obvious which posts are mine and which aren't. Those dating 2005 or older are obviously not mine, as I registered in 2006.

Phew! I'll never forget this ... and JimmyJackJr.

Maybe not. You've already forgotten the 100 x 100 avatar limit that was behind the accidental deletion in the first place! ;) :P

Well, you did say that you're a bit forgiving to people who link their avatars, as long as the said avatars are not in HDMI or something. Ha! Got you! Nanananana, nanananana! :P

Oh, and I still haven't heard you reaction in regard to my avatar! So, do you like the caricature? If you don't reply, I'll keep pestering you to do so ... so there's no escape!

Um ... I don't know. It's just that his reply: "Yes, it's nice and flattering. Thank you." makes it sound like he's sort of annoyed or not amused.

No, this is Luke when he's annoyed/not amused/mad:

Yes. It is nice. And flattering...thanks.

Note the placements of the periods & ellipses, as well as the flat tone one would take when reading it. :P
