Aren't we getting a lot of this lately?
If someone would like to "leave" I guess it's all right to just stop posting and then see how it feels after a while. As far as I understand there is no need to make the "ultimate decision". If you're "leaving town" (in "real life") that's more of an "ultimate decision" because you'll have a lot of stuff to move and you'll need to get a new ("physical") place to stay somewhere else. But you can always "leave" a forum such as this one, or leave just for a while, and then "come back" whenever you like - all it takes is a couple of "clicks".
Sorry for stating the obvious and for being an ******* - I guess I'm basically sensing a slight difference between people's concepts of "social commitment" towards a forum such as this one...

I'm quite touched by all the good wishes and comments by everyone here.
It's only a few days ago, but it seems quite a long time now since I posted this thread, with the intention of leaving the forum.
Thank you everyone - I'm just looking to get on with posting as usual now.
Hopefully I'll get around to uploading another batch of Disneyland Paris pictures over the weekend.

Yay! darth_deetoo is staying! You taught me not to be ashamed of my Disney DVD collection, and for that I will be forever grateful! I've always said, "Disney theme parks are the happiest place on Earth, so UD is the happiest forum online!"
On the other hand, I think something needs to be done to Reyquilla. He has not personally done anything to me, but he has done some things to some very nice people here on UD, and they did not deserve it. I'm not trying to act all...perfect or anything, but I don't think he should be let off the hook when he is verbally abusing people on here. He puts down other members' Disney DVD collections just because they don't have every single edition of every single DVD related to Disney, Buena Vista, or Mirimax (or those pre-school DVDs for 3-4 year-olds), just like he has done with - in this case - darth_deetoo. darth_deetoo does not have every single edition of every single DVD related to Disney, Buena Vista, or Mirimax like Reyquilla claims to have, but I guarantee that that does not make darth_deetoo any more of a Disney fan that reyquilla.
Whenever Reyquilla posts in a nice, happy thread, he just ruins it by saying something negative about someone, which is why I chose to ignore him, because he acts half of his age (unless he really is three years old, in which case, I would have to apologize).

Going for good!
Final straw. I've had it with this forum.
I've been wavering on this for some time, but I've really had enough.
This last few months, this forum has been beset by bickering and rudeness.
I've had trouble with two forum members.
One of which is a complete jerk who makes it a point to sabotage and derail people's threads, which he has done again today. He is a troll, and he should been kicked out of long ago.
I've just had a sly joke made at my expense by another poster, when they are discussing inappropriate issues in my view on a Disney forum.
Put simply, this place is no longer a pleasant place to visit.
There are one or two members I'll miss, but I'm sad at how childish, rude and bad mannered the members of this forum are getting.
Logging out for the last time!

So apparently **I** was the last straw. You took it upon yourself to ASSUME what I was saying was rude. You took it out of context. Welcome to the internet. A place where all you do it type. You can't hear a tone of voice, see a facial expression. You can't know exactly what a person means by what they type unless you ASK them. Why not just ASK what I meant by that instead of INSULTING ME...I didn't insult YOU, but you took it upon yourself to insult me and then be a hypocrite in this thread saying how people insult YOU. Don't b**** like you got clean hands. You insulted me, and I didn't insult you ONCE. Don't act innocent. Because you aren't. I certainly seen people be rude to you here, but then you go and assume what I mean and insult me? Why not be the bigger man/woman and actually ASK someone? Maybe there would be less misunderstanding.
I apologized to YOU for the misunderstanding. But you should be apologizing to ME for insulting me with NO just cause. Just an assumption you think you know what I mean.
And I never trust these "I'm leaving! *stomps out and slams doors*. Most people when they actually leave, they just leave and never come back. People who make a spectacle of themselves always do.

About that...darth_deetoo wrote:I've just had a sly joke made at my expense by another poster, when they are discussing inappropriate issues in my view on a Disney forum.
A. The joke was not a point of discussion, only a joke, and there was nothing about my post that the inappropriate crowd could understand anyway.
B. Siren's respone was clearly in good humor. I'm sorry you failed to see that and it's a shame to see you leave because of it.
