Then I suggest you avoid Maximum Overdrive.Jasmine1022 wrote:well...it's just that the book was SO. GOOD. and the movie was just...not! it was just awful. i can honestly believe that stephen king wrote that, but it was just terrible.

sorry Jasmine i got a different book instead
. i got a triple book that contains King's first three books Carrie, 'Salem's Lot, and The Shining. i'm not sure of Shining since that creeped me out. so far i'm loving Carrie and i'm up to where shes making her prom dress. i loved the movie too but i found it to be more sad than scary since Carrie wasn't the bad guy but the villain and she was just getting pay back. the kids at my school just don't understand that.

I only have a very small handful of Stephen King novels. Of them I've only read two and a half, so far I've finished Cujo and Carrie, and now I"m working on Christine (I laugh at the name since thats my mom's first name
). I think I'm on the last 20 or 30 pages for Christine, and so far it's reallllly good. I have to give his books props for being really in depth as far as characters, he explains about the characters past and background without straying from the initial story. Of the movies I've seen It was decent....I think I've seen it about 4 years ago, Cujo was ok, but Carrie I just couldn't care for, I felt like they could have included a lot more of the book in it, especially at the end. Oh well.

yeah it is a little slow.
right now i'm up to the part after the seventeen year old mother beat up her own baby. i looked similar to this
when do the vampires and father c show up anyway?
Edit: i want to ask a tiny question that is semi-related, has anyone read Joe Hill's novel? oh and if anyone can figure out how it's related, you get a cookie

Well I'll shorthand it for you - the 1979 version looks really old, the 2004 version looks shiny and new.Jasmine1022 wrote:i dunno what version it was. all i know is that i was not scared of the vampires, and that ben and susan annoyed me more than made me like them!!Lazario wrote: The 2004 version, right?
