My favorite has always been Beast from BatB when after the transformation!!
He (isn't his name Adam?) is soooooo gorgeous, the most handsome Disney Guy ever!!!

And I liked Mamorou (Darien) from Sailor Moon very much. He is a perfect guy!

I don't think it is lust for appearence sake. A lot has to do with personality as well. And the deep down wish that it was a real person, so crushing on them seemed normal.

Afterall, no one blinks an eye when girls (or guys for that matter) lust for a man who has his hair in braids and beads, wears way too much eyeliner, and walks around like a prissy drunk (ala Jack Sparrow). He is as cartoon as they come in live action. And yet, that's normal to most.

So its not so much lusting or crushing on an animated character is weird, its just a projection of ourselves and what we want in life for a mate.

That's because he's still a living, breathing human male. If you could touch what you actually see, you know it will always be human. However, a drawing will always be paper. And a cartoon will either be paper or film.

That sounds strange of course, but it's how I really feel.

Besides, some girls (and guys for that matter) are drawn to prissy drunks (ha ha - I can't imagine it either) or guys with long hair. I happen to think guys with long hair look like girls. But... to each their own. And I really mean that.

Actually, I'm serious about that. It may not happen often, but I've heard that several guys have legitimately mistaken other men with long hair for women. The common excuse for the slip-up : "they can look the same from behind." Of course, I was never told growing up that I or anyone else had to have short hair to be a guy, it's just what seems naturally appealing to me.
