Glad you two like it! Thanks for the kind words!

And Disney Duster, don't worry; you're not going crazy. I tinkered with the ray of light after you mentioned it being off. I didn't have to lengthen the image to get it looking like that; it just had to be cropped a little in the horizontal direction and some work done on the right side in addition to, of course, making the logo (which is always more demanding than it seems it should be.

Once again - I appreciate the feedback (especially when it's not negative :D ).

Wow - really great banners, both on the forum and the two new ones on the front page. I don't know which of Luke's four new custoum artworks (the three banners and the Mickey Rooney avatar) is the best.

Ultimate Disney Winter 2007 Banners!

Post by Disney Duster »

Just saying thanks for answering my questions, Luke. Also, I didn't even know the front page was done. Peter and the gang flying over Big Ben is really nice looking for the Upcoming banner, and the new snowflake motif for the main banner is genius. The crystalized-ness looks cool (especially with Tremaine and the wand, of course  ). I had actually been afraid that since Winter would be over in March, and the review for Cinderella III: A Twist In Time was already up, I wouldn't get to see anything from it in the banners. But I was proven wrong and it was even better as a complete surprise!

We really appreciate your hardwork here! Thanks for doing it!

Sweet new banners on the front page of both the forum and site. They are really imaginative, especially the home page. Great job Luke! :D

Luke, I just wanted to say that I love the new Peter Pan inspired banner. One thing though, and it could just be me, but, the text is a little hard to read on this one. It seems the slightest bit blurry. However, as I said, it could just be me.

Anyway, keep up the great work!

It's not just you, but I've given up. I already spent way more time than I should have trying to get the text to look like the Peter Pan DVD font. As there were no close matches, much of it was manually working with the virtual paintbrush to touch things up and get desired effects. It looks decent at full-size, it's when the logo gets shrunk down that it doesn't look so great. Oh well, hopefully, the next one will turn out better.

Thanks for the feedback!

Awesome new banner! The UD forum now matches the very Peter Pan mood that I'm in. Always love the celebratory nature of UD's forum come Platinum time. I think it looks great - love the red background and the chosen picture. Good job, Luke!

Luke always does splendid jobs on the banners for both the forum and front page. He definitly needs a round of applause! Not just for the banners, for pretty much the entire site. Bravo!

Nice Peter Pan banner! I always think its funny that my eyes are always drawn to the amazing UD logos in them, and not really to the main picture!

I like the new Pirates banner, but I would've preferred the fog-type poster.
