does anyone who has the laserdisc edition have any solid info on the cut songs and the progress in them? what i'm wondering is, who will be the voices for this? do they have recordings done but no animation? or are they just working from storyboards and recruiting their voice actors to add talents? don't get me wrong, corey burton is an awesome voice actor, but i don't want him to be on the feature film of alice as the mad hatter and march hare. can anyone confirm a voice track in existence for this stuff? what does everyone else think?

I guess we'll see what happens to the movies when they come out.
If history is anythig to go by, we'll have 2 versions of the film on the discs...
All I can say is I'm glad I have the originals on DVD, whatever the case may be.
Still, I am looking forward to their release. Can't say I approve of the fiddling (but then again, I don't think Disney needs my approval

Disney, I can't beleive you are doing this!!!!!
I may love "If I Never Knew You", but to change "Alice" is unforgiven!!! If they can do this Alice and Pokey, just imagine what they can do with "Bambi" or "Cinderella".
Well, MMBoy, could you give us some screencaps from the trailer? I may be against the changes, but I can't wait to have these DVDs on my shelf!

They better not attemp against Bambi, Oh my god!! Thank goodness they didn't change Snow White. That would have been a catastrophe...Joe Carioca wrote:Disney, I can't beleive you are doing this!!!!!![]()

Actually, they were going to rerelease "Snow White" in theaters with "Music in Your Soup" back into it (the scene would be colored using the CAPS sistem, and Andreas Deja was involved with it). But they decided to let the film untouched and just release it on DVD.Disneykid wrote:Disney was actually considering putting "Music in Your Soup" back into Snow White for its Platinum release, but then they decided against it. Makes me wonder if they'll end up doing that when Snow White is re-released in HD-DVD.

I still wonder if it's really been done or not. I mean, most of the rumors we hear usually come true sooner or later, but if they can't keep the original Walt Disney movies free of special things, I don't know what I'll do... Thank goodness I bought Peter Pan before something happened to it! Wish I could say the same about Beauty and the Beast... I liked the new song, but still!
YES! I completely agree! Why don't the Disney family run the studio? It's a crying shame. Whenever I hear that Roy's involved in a project I breathe a little sigh of relief. I only wish he (or Diane..or any other Disney, really) had more power there.BasilOfBakerStreet427 wrote:All Disney animation should be left untouched. If the Disney ran the studio, nothing crazy would be going on.
Too bad they can't all vote Eisner out or something.
Does anyone know why Walt (or his brother Roy) didn't will the company to someone in their family before they died? How the heck did Michael Eisner weasel his way in there anyway? Excuse my ignorance of the business/legal side of things...
"You're dead if you aim only for kids. Adults are only kids grown up, anyway." -- Walt Disney
I know it's fasionable to bash Eisner - we all do it, including myself. But Eisner probably did save Disney from itself. It's likely without Eisner Disney would now be a thinner shadow of it's former self - perhaps even have been taken-over by another studio.
I think Eisner's just been at the job too long and is becoming somewhat jaded. I think he should move on... he's achived what he set out to achive and made pots of money in the process. What other reason is there for staying?

Anyone want my Gold Collection?
I'll sell it. I think I only have the disc and insert though as I usually get rid of cases and keep them all in books. I did keep some cases though as I knew I would have to double dip on Plantinums etc. Just let me know.
