Making them look like they were could have been "made yesterday" is probably a good selling point these days. I'm not really happy with this myself.

I see where your coming from Beastboyravenz, and I definatly do not think you are closed minded. I guess everyone just has a different view on the films on a more personal level. Watching the films in their original form is great, but I think for me its the general movie I like. Their still the same films in terms of story, music, dialouge and animation (except for the Lion King... and Beauty and the Beast if you count the added scenes) just with vivid colors and a little cleaner looking.

but its like someone once told me.."To me The Little Mermaid is The Little Mermaid, I like it either way. Un-restored or restored"

Really though the only slight problem I have with the restorations is when they change some animation (*cough* The Lion King *cough*) and change the original color palette drastically(Mostly with Cinderella). That kind of bothers me, other then that removal of grain noise and artifacts is completely fine by me.

But anyway Beatsboyravenz I hope you still have original copys of these films so you can enjoy them in their true original brilliance.

Yeah Jeremy88 I do have the original copies, but I wouldn't have mind that Disney release those same copies the way they once were on dvd, plus a copy that other people appeal to such as the look that makes them seem as if they were created now a days. I agree with you that everyone has different opinions and points of views. I wanted to ask you, do you own the huge boxsets Disney released of The Lion King, Pocahontas, Cinderella, Beauty and The Beast, Pinnochio and Snow White? I own The Lion King one and Pocahontas.

The huge Boxsets of those movies? Well I use to own them on VHS a long time ago but then they got handed down to my younger cousins and then they got lost. So I recently got them all on DVD The Lion King:PE, Beauty and the Beast, Snow White: PE, Cinderella: PE, Pocahontas 10th Anniversary. I still got to get Pinnochio but i think ill wait til the PE.

I really want the Aladdin Giftset box thing though cause its my favorite lol

That is a good idea though they should re-release in their first original state on DVD. It would be a good compare and contrast lol.

Weren't people saying that Disney is probably going to release a three disc set for Hardcore Disney Fans? I hope they put the original on one disc and the other versions on another. Might this happen? Or is it just speculation? You are referring to the Aladdin boxset with with the genie on the cover of the box right?

Im not sure but its probably just a speculation. You think Disney would go all out on these things for the sake of the fans lol. A 3 disc set would be great though Id definatly buy them.

The Aladdin Gift set Im talking about is this one right here.

Image

Were there any other kind of boxsets released with those films?

I mean for the treasures they left some shorts unedited, why can't they consider us true fans and give us unedited, original versions of Disney Classics. I have faith Disney won't let us (especially me ) down. Oh I have that set of Aladdin, but the one I was talking about was the vhs deluxe boxset, the box for that one is really nice. I have Pocahontas and The Lion King, they're supposedly valued at $120 each, but I highly doubt I'll get $120 if I ever decided to sell them.
