Thanks DisneyDVDFAN! Um, it still is for the $20.92. When you signed up, did you use the code for 3 free movies, 4 free movies, or was it a different deal all together back then? Because I wonder why our costs were different.
I'm still not sure if I'm getting 5 or 6 movies. You are easing my fears a bit. I almost feel bad about bothering them, but they're all nice.
I'm excited about "getting through so you're excepted". I hope it's just that their computers are slow.

***edit*** Just a quick question (another question :) )- So, I will have 4 more films to buy in 2 years. No problem. What kinds of deals will they have while I'm still fulfilling my commitment? And, what kinds of deals are available once you're a VIP member? Thanks!

Let's see I got the 4 free and took one more to minus from commitment so i had 4 more movies to buy ... and that charge was 25.90 ...

As for deals remember your dvd has t ocost more than 19.95 and up to count so the best deals for fulfilling will be the FREE shipping ones or if you want to space out and get to VIP level there are those codes where you buy two at regular prices so they would count to your commit.. and the rest at sometimes 40 % or 25% off and sometimes Free shipping too... just check the site once you get through or call to place orders and ask about what the offers are and make sure you get the most value per dvd with the sales...

was that helpful ;)

once you become a VIP :) :D 8) you will get a welcome letter stating that you are and along with that letter they usually send out a coupon or two for a FREE pin and CASE and buy 1 movie get 1 free (you may want to use that for the DISNEY TREASURES but that is your preferrence...

DisneyDVDFAN- you are wonderful. Thanks for the millionth time!!!

Buy 1 Get 1 free- is that a once-only deal, or will they do that often if you're a VIP?

That's for making VIP I got to VIP level FAST within a couple of days once approved etc ... but I think it is once only deal.. it's a special ... although I have gotten VIP Offers for buy 2 at regular and get 1 free ... so there are lots of oportunity for deals ... and plsu the exclusives once VIP hits like the pins which are free with the purchase of a regularly priced dvd...

Any free or 50% off movies are fine by me! I really don't collect the pins, though- I do collect plushes. Too bad you don't have a choice of getting pins or plushes. Oh well! I won't complain about free stuff!
Thanks again :)

I'm sure that you must share the movies with her!!!

Even with the major headache (literally) this club has given me, and even with the bad stuff I've read here on UD, it seems that the club will be a good investment (especially if they still have copies of Treasures from the older waves). Thanks in part to the info from you, DisneyDVDFAN!!!

Yeah I share but I give a speech everytime she touches one ... no fingerprints don't leave it lying around the floor don't touch the the inserts inside :) :D don't pull them out of the shelf so they scrap the sides etc oh she gets a long list of things before she can touch my stuff ...

yes the Treasures are a good deal I personally think ... they even had MM in living Color Vol 1 recently and Silly Symphonies and even GOOFY :) so I didn't have to pay too much for those I only started really collecting DVDS about a year or so ago ;)
I have tons of VHS stuff...

One more question:
Since I can't see all the titles available yet, do they offer the season sets of cartoons such as "Chip & Dale's Rescue Rangers" or "DuckTales" or "TaleSpin" or "Darkwing Duck"? And, are those $40 or more and count as 2 films? And, do those count as DVDs towards the 4 more you have to buy?

They have Ducktales Vol 1 but that is 26.95 so that counts as 1 you have to order a set for above 40.00 to count as 2...

So, is DuckTales vol. 1 a random set of episodes, or does it have the first episodes in chronological order?
And, they don't have the other cartoons? :(

And, I don't understand why a non-member can't see all that's available- I typed out a list of the films I may want from the DMC, but that list will change once I can see the full list. I'd think they would show the full list so people would want to join even more.

Here's an update on my situation:
I called them, faxed them my bank statement with the pending charge on it...now the pending charge is no longer there (the money got put back into my bank account), and I haven't heard from DMC. Not a welcome email, not a "we can't accept" you email. If the money stays out should I just assume I'm not accepted and they gave me my $ bacK? I really wanted to join? Should I just call again, ask for the lady who had my case, and see if I should just join on the phone?

Thanks- I'll try to call when they open at 9. Do you have any idea how old that get 4 free deal is, since now it's a 3 free deal? (One ad here on UD says get 3 for $1.99 each plus free shipping...so there are more than one deal). I wonder if, since I have that code, they'll give it to me. I mean, I don't have a mailer for it- I just got the code here. Do they expire?

And, since the $ taken out was in pending, I guess that's why it doesn't say a credit for that money, since it's back in my account. DId they really not give me back the money and they'll take it out now that it's not pending?

No the money was never taken out DMC authorises a hold on the funds and ifyou are not accepted for whatever reason they just let it fall through so no money was taken out so no credit it due ... most companies do that they authorize the intial funds to verify account info etc and then actually take the funds once your product is shipped ...

as for the deal just a couple of days ago I got the deal in the postal mailings from DMC so it is active ... just ask and see what happens.

Good luck

the number to call 1 888 257 9100 promotion code 764051 the offer is 4 movies for 1.99 each shipping and processing is FREE and I agree to purchase 4 additional movies at regular clup prices within the next 2 years .. plus if you take an additional movie at 14.95 you then need to buy only 3 more movies in the next 2 years at regular club prices you can also get a BONUS DVD @ 9.95 (but it doesn't count towards commitments you STILL have to buy 3 more at REGULAR CLUB PRICES within 2 years .. :)
