I think she felt that Claire? was the one who had done it, and didn't want to take credit for it, so she stepped up to cover for her...

So another episode has come and gone and I'm still loving this show.

Niki is still a bit of a mystery, but her story is finally taking form. Now I'm wondering how she fits in with the other characters...

Peter and Nathan's power is the coolest, but Nathan is a jerk. He totally betrayed his brother...how are they supposed to use their power now? I really think they have to be together to use it.

Isaac's power is cool, but does it only work when he's high? That's wierd. I wonder what he's going to do now that he know's Simone and Peter kissed.

The cop (I forget his name) has a cool power too. But that Sylar guy has got me freaked. Who is he? Is he the one that kills Isaac in the future? And what exactly are his powers?

Hiro is hilarious. But I do get tired of reading subtitles when he's around. Let's get him to learn some English.

But, of course, the big cliffhanger lies with Claire. WOW! What an ending. My friends think that someone was performing an autopsy on her, but I don't think an autopsy is needed for a log through the neck...I think she's in some lab of the people that are aware of her power...like her "dad"...

Next week's episode looks to be the best so far.

An autopsy seemed unnecessary to me too. Still, autopsy was the impression I got from that. Man, that was nasty. Never been a fan of that actress, but she was cute in this episode. I think it's a little ridiculous that she's upset about her power though. That would be THE most comforting power to have.

I don't mind the subtitles for Hiro. His story has been really cool, especially since we have seen him being a hero already, saving that little girl from the truck.

I get the impression Nikki is the one who did all the killing she blames her husband for. Perhaps she WILL be a bad guy. Nathan might be a bad guy too. It seems like they have to be together to fly, but maybe it's really just that they have been flying more on instinct (when together), rather than trying to do it really hard. Whenever Peter is allone, he is trying to fly. I don't know. It'll be interesting to see what happens with that. I hope they do start wearing costumes or something at some point. Honestly, the no flight/no tights rule on Smallville has started to bug me, ha. I appreciate "Heroes" for being realistic/serious, but still not worrying about that "rule."

Ha, with Isaac, it's like Nostradamus having to get high to see HIS visions... I doubt he HAS to though.

Things with the cop have been very interesting too, and the guy from India who is researching it all (sorry, I'm terrible with names). It looks like his cute little friend is a bad girl possibly...

yea, was the autopsy really necessary? I mean she has the friggin stick in her head!! but yea, thats what definately was going on... Hiro is really funny but I agree, he needs to start learning english. And the Syler guy is really creepy. Howd he manage to get all that stuff outta there? He is definately a telekinetic. Lets see how things go with Hiro in Las Vegas... isnt that where Nikki is? Maybe they'll meet next week! I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

It's a useful power, but hardly the most comforting. First of all, you continuously have to witness your body being ripped to shreds, etc. in very gory ways. Second, a direct injury directly to the brain apparently does kill her until the foreign object is removed. A few bullets to the brain would probably be enough to take her down. Actual invulnerability would be much, much more comforting IMO.

Yes, this show is very gory. I wasn't expecting this show to be like that, and then last week we see people's heads ripped open and people hanging from stairs held up by knives...

VERY gory.

After 10 minutes of the third episode I officialy quit the show. The writers don't seem to know where they're going with all the mystery they're throwing in and I'm not about to wait and find out.

And before anyone jumps the gun and says something about Lost; Lost from day one had me confident that despite all the mystery there is a clear direction where it's headed. And indeed there seems to be. Call me stupid, but I'm going on gut feeling with this.

You cant see where this is headed? The destruction the Hiro witnessed and Isaac drew. The heroes eventually meet and and learn to use their powers. Hiro is already on the ball and from what it looks like, I think he'll bump into Nikki very soon. Then theres the deal with Claires psycho dad and this Syler guy. I think you should give it another chance. Shame to quit the show so early.

I think you should give it another chance, too. I agree that it does seem like it's all different directions, but I like the constant surprises.

Of course, complete, Superman style invulnerability would be better, but I haven't seen that on this show. I meant it was the best power to have that we've seen on the show. Anyway, I still say it's the most comforting one (on the show), because it's the closest thing they've shown to invulnerability. As for constantly seeing your body mangled, well, she has done MOST of that herself (I know, not ALL of it). She definitely has a knack for getting hurt, too. I mean, most of us don't stick our hands into the garbage disposal while it's turned on...

Tonight's episode was SO AWESOME!

Nikki's power is finally taking form. It seems like she has dual personalities and one is a superb*tch. But I am not happy with her and Nathan sleeping together...but, then again, that wasn't "her," so...I wonder what happens when she wakes up and he's not there (Claire's dad and the mysterious black man took him).

Claire was very surprising. I thought it was a bit rash to kill the guy (which I assume happens). But I want to know what that vision that Isaac saw is all about! I wonder who is chasing her.

Peter was great! I'm a little miffed at his and Simone's sleeping together, but they do seem like a better couple. Also, the end scene in the subway was great!

Isaac seems to be harnessing his power, too. It also seems like he DOES need to be high for his power to work. And did everyone see his eyes? They were glazed over and it seems like he isn't aware when it's happening. And it looks like the same thing happens to Peter in the next episode.

Hiro was great, too. But his friend pisses me off. I hope he got his butt kicked.

All in all, I'm glad the show is starting to move forward. The heroes are starting to find each other. The show was off to a bit of a slow start, but it's finally taking off!

Also, did everyone see the tatoo Crazy Nikki's back when she was stripping for Nathan? If you watch the show closely, that same symbol has been showing up in all sorts of places.
- the computer code from Mohinder's father
- Isaac's various paintings
- the mysterious black man's necklace

I wonder what it means....

The guy is a serial rapist. Maybe it's the Texan in me, but I don't think killing him was all that rash (wait, aren't you a Texan too? Ha). Another solid episode, though I would have liked to have seen a little power use from Peter today. Looks like they'll really be flying around soon though. Yeah, the bit on the subway with Hiro was awesome!

Yeah, I am... :D

Admittedly he was a jerk, but to kill him?
It could have just been her really sudden attitude change. One minute she was denying it ever happened and then she's seducing her way into his car to kill him.

He was a jerk? No, no, no.... SERIAL RAPIST! Jeez. I'm a little surprised by how lightly you're taking that... Not to mention the way he dumped her body when he thought he'd killed her...

AH!! THAT SUBWAY SCENE WAS AWESOME!!! At frist I was expecting that weird black guy to show up but then Hiro showed up speaking english and wearing the leather jacket looking all Matrix-y lol. And he said that Peter looked different without his scar.. I wonder how he gets a scar!!! I feel bad for Peter though cuz everyone seems to know how to use their powers except him, and he's the only one that really really wants to use it! Oh well. Cant wait for next weeks episode... Nathan flew the hell outta there!! It was great.

Here's a couple of theories on Peter. I didn't catch the line about Peter looking different without his scar. However, I did notice that Nathan has a pretty bad scar. Now, I know it's a show and the guys don't look THAT much alike, but suspending disbelief and realizing they are supposed to be brothers, perhaps Hiro was looking for Nathan rather than Peter... Unless he called Peter by name, which he probably did. I don't remember. Still, there is something about Peter and Nathan's flight abilities that we don't know, and they keep trying to make us wonder which one will become a hero, if not both, and if one might become a villain... I am wondering if perhaps Nathan is the only one who has flight powers, and maybe he can levitate other things too, and that's why sometimes Peter thinks he can fly when he's around Nathan.

Wait, scratch that. One thing keeps coming up. That moment when Peter woke up and he said his leg was... hovering. In the first episode, I think... Okay, scratch all those theories, ha... The show definitely makes you wonder about stuff though... I'm diggin' it.

I do understand your point, And I get that the guy is scum. But for her to choose to play God just bugs me a little. But a part of me thinks he's not dead.

I never noticed a scar on Nathan...where/when did you see one? I really want Peter to have some powers...He seems so genuine.

Well, even though they usually don't kill people, playing God is pretty much what superheroes do. But the question was, did he deserve to die. Yep. Not saying it was the best course of action for Claire, but he certainly DID deserve it; and I certainly hope he died, but who knows...

Yeah, I hope Peter does have powers and that he doesn't really have to be around his brother to use them (because that would suck for Peter), but I really have no clue what is up with them at this point. I do wish we had found out a little more about those two and their powers already, but I guess that's supposed to keep us coming back... Well, in the scenes with Nathan and Nikki, the scar along his jaw was very visible. I had never noticed it before though. That's why I found it interesting when xxhplinkxx posted the scar line, which I must have missed during the show. It can be hard to pay attention with my parents in the room talking about whatever...
