Oh my god, that would be so cool if they had Kelly Clarkson or the DCCOS do a song for Peter Pan. Your Mother and Mine would be great for Kelly, and I can see them doing a poppy version of You Can Fly with the Circle of Stars. Or they can just get the High School Musical cast to do one. I really hope that they do one, it'd be so cool.

While surfing the net, I researched the history of Disneymania and when I got to the complete vol. of the series, it's been confirmed that Disneymania 5 will be released in the 2007. For me this great news cause I've been wnating to hear more perfect remakes of classic Disney songs.

Here's a couple of shoe ins for the installment:

1. Route 66 (Cars) John Mayer/Cheetah Girls (hoping for John's version)

2. 2nd Star To The Right (Peter Pan) T-Squad

3. Poor Unfortunate Souls (Lil Mermaid) Jonas Bros

4. Cruella De Vil (101 Dalmation) Skye Sweetnam

5. Baby Mine (Dumbo) Allison Krauss (hopefuly they'll include it)

6. Kiss The Girl (Lil Mermaid) Ashley Tisdale

7. Go The Distance (Herclues) Jesse McCarthy (he's been on 3 of 'em now, he's mostly gon'na return)

Pink Elephants On Parade (Dumbo) Jonas Bros/Bowling For Soup

Are these your speculations, or rumored additions? Have you heard reports on these, or just visited Wikipedia? Because Wikipedia isn't exactly reliable...

And I'm willing to bet big money that you won't find John Mayer's Route 66 on the CD. It will definitely be Cheetah Girls. Also, Skye's Cruella was a bonus song on DM4...they're not going to release it again...

I've only heard 2 Jonas Brothers songs before ("Mandy" and "Yo-Ho..."), but I can see them remaking "I Saw A Dragon"- great idea!


I have the first 3 DisneyMania CDs...In my opinion, each has a few good remakes, but I don't like all of the remakes on them. I didn't even buy #4, since there were onlly 4 songs that I wanted.

I'm not sure if she would ever record a DM song, but I think that JoJo would do a great job...that's kind of random, but she seems to have a versitile voice, and could do either ballads or up-tempos. Yup, that's my opinion...

I just heard 2 of Jojo's songs, "Lil Too Late", "Leave Now (Get Out)", both which are quite good and cleverly scored instrumentaly. She might be good for "Love" (Robin Hood), You belong to my heart (3 Amegios) and "Dear Love (Babes In Toyland). Maybe we'll hear remakes from old tv shows of Disneyland, that'd be intresting hearing a new verison of "4th Aniversery" (an episode of Disneyland's 4th Aniverserly) being remade as a tribute to Walt Disney.

I doubt that the Disneymania CDs would include such rare material. But, I agree that it'd be neat if they diversify. We don't need 4 versions of the same songs. I think that the artists have some say in what song they do, though...so, if "When You Wish Upon a Star" is a song you love and want to sing, chances are they'll let you sing it.

I'd love to hear some remakes from "The Great Mouse Detective" and "Oliver and Company", personally.

Okay, so it's been while since this thread has been updated.

Wikipedia has updated their Disneymania 5 section with some rather interesting tracklist. the artists aren't officaly linked to a song except for Everlife and T-Squad. They metion that Disney Channel Stars will possibly return to the soundtrack, along with Jump 5, Baha Men, and Aly/AJ.

it'd be weird for Heigh Ho rapped but then again it could use a pleaseable update from a talented singer. Also I found a Japan verison of the Disneymania series but it's called Dive Into Disney...Heard a few tracks from it and there's some good remakes worthy of Disneymania 5. There's a slured" verison of Supercali with a rock beat, Beat Crusaders rock The Mickey Mouse Club and few other japanese artist.

I find it hard to believe that Jump5 will be featured. They weren't on the last album, and they haven't been heard of in a verrry long time. Their official website hasn't been updated in around two years.
They were super-popular once upon a time, but then seemingly fell off the face of the planet.

disneymania 5 is coming out on March 27, 2007. The only confirmed track is "Reflection" by Everlife. The CD may include new songs like Ashley Tisdale's Kiss The Girl or Jonas Brothers' Poor Unfortunate Souls. It was also mentioned in an issue of Tiger Beat that T-Squad and Miley Cyrus would be on the CD. And many others, such as; Jump5, Aly & A.J., and Baha Men. And songs like Eveybody Wants to be A Cat, The Second Star To The Right, and High-Ho. It is also possible that there will be a Disney Channel Circle of Stars songs from Peter Pan featuring High School Musical Cast, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, Hannah Montana, and Cory In the House cast members.

i hope this one dosen't suck like Disneymania 3. that had what only five new ones? i hope it'll be similar to 4 because i loved all of those songe, which is weird because i have a least favorite on the others including the remix. you know i wonder why Reflection Remix wasn't on the remix edition anyway?
i'm not sure who i want but they could do some songs that haven't been done. you know something funny, i knew all the songs except for Monkey's Uncle because i never heard of that movie so i went on wikipedia and found out about The Monkey's Uncle. who else hadn't heard of it before 4.

That would be quite intresting to hear, Belinda and Ricky Martin are the only ones that I know who are latins, Belinda could do You Belong To My Heart (Tres Amegios) in spainsh along with a spainsh redention of 3 Amegios with a mexican flavor to it.

For some reason I had a vision of Miley Cyrus covering Heigh Ho in a worthy redention, I'm kinda hoping they included the alterante lyrics from a ww 2 ad. "Heigh Ho, Heigh Ho, it's off to buy we go, we'll win the war with 544s. Heigh Ho, Heigh Ho, we're the wisest dwarves we know"

I curious bout Corbin Bleu and Cheetah Girls' choice, hopefuly the Cheetahs can present a worthy redention. Hayden Panettiere sounds like a good choice for My Own Home, after hearing her sing I Still Believe and studying her rhythm, I thought she'd be the perfect choice for remaking "My Own Home".

But i seriously doubt we'll be seeing My Own Home" on that CD. I wouldn't be surprised if they put her Cinderella III song on the disc...it wouldn't be the first time a sequel song has been added.

Not necessarily. Given the right publicity and sound, the band will become popular.

are all cases where the band is a bunch of kiddos and they garner a fair amount of fans (especially Jump5, who I really enjoyed).
And Disney doesn't try all that hard, they just know they're audience.
