I have three DVDs from Canada: "The Fantasia Anthology" box set, "The Three Caballeros" and "The Black Cauldron". Thankfully, only "Cauldron" and "Fantasia 2000" have the annoying yellow dot.

Does not bother me

All that bothers me is bad transfers, bad sound and high prices.

I'll have to check my collection to see which one's have the "yellow dot". Luckily, the new dvd's that are released only have the yellow dot as a sticker on the slipcover.

I just checked my Beauty and the Beast DVD and it does not have the yellow dot on the cover.

Does anyone have a picture of the dot? I'd like to see what it looks like. :)

Ugh. I'm French Canadian and even I find this very annoying. These days, almost every DVD sold in Canada includes the French version, so what's the point? All it does is it gives anglophones yet another reason to hate us. :| :P

It doesn't bother me at all.

Maybe I'm just to accustomed to seeing French writing on stuff. Living in New Brunswick (the most bi-lingual province in Canada) for a good portion of my life has desensitized me to it.

We don't hate French people. Just French politicians.

Actually, for the last year and a half or so (Cars was the first one I noticed it on), they have changed it from a printed on dot to a little sticker, which is nice and what they should have done all along. I think, even if they were printed on, that it's better than what everyone else does, with English and French bilingual packaging. I think when it comes to bilingual packaging, Fox had it right with the Star Wars ones a couple years back (when you buy it, it comes with bilingual cover, as usually, but you can reverse it so it's just English on the other side).

But with the French thing, there's been something that's been a bit annoying, at the store I work at we'll get the DVDs in, like normal, with the sticker, then sometimes when Disney just sends out a bunch of DVDs to us (in a big group with various titles in it), sometimes we get ones with covers that have both English and French on them, usually having the logos the same size side by side, or worse, with the French being the bigger of the two. It's kinda annoying, I think we still have a few of the National Treasure SE with that problem. Don't ask me why, since I'm in BC and in a city where there's absolutely no French influence.

On all of my DVD's, the dot is a sticker. I only have newer DVDs, so this could be the issue.
