Is there going to be a King Kong parody!? On the poster there is a gorilla with a cigarette.

I heard that that was just for the poster and is not in the film.

Anyway I can't wait to see it today. There should be some really funny lines this time but I still laugh now at "A year ago a UFO crash landed in New Mexico.".

If "Thank You For Smoking" isn't on I'm sure my friend and I are gonna watch it after we're done shooting.

I'm kind of wishing I'd stayed with Thank You For Smoking...Not that SM4 was awful, just wasn't even in the same league as SM3, was just too thrown together feeling, although the Oprah parody at the end was pretty damn funny.

I saw it!

Twice. :P
Ok well I saw the first showing on Friday with a bunch of school friends who all loved it. The 2nd time I saw it with a friend from my old school who did not really like it that much (most likely because she only saw the first and a bit of the third. I thought it may just be the funniest of the series. There are also some awesome quotes this time like (JOKE SPOILER WARNING!!!) Oliver: We'll build our own tripods. Ours will have four legs.

President Harris at the United Nations building: I'm here today at the....... (turns around and reads) UN because....

Cindy Campbell: Wow. We’ve already got a lot in--.
Tom Ryan: Common.
Cindy: Were even finishing each others--.
Tom: Dinner.

(After his bodyguard tells the president he is naked)
President Harris: I thought that this was just a wrinkly leather coat.

Cindy: I saw a face.
Tom: Did it have a nose?
Cindy: Yes.
Tom: That does sound like a face.

The way that Tom says:” I’m in love with Cindy Campbell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" had me in stitches

And anything that that Brenda (or the President for that matter) said.

(Spoilers over) I loved this film, I NEED the DVD, and have now changed my mind about hoping this was the last one. BRING ON NUMBER FIVE!

Copied over from my screening log entry:

Scary Movie 4 (Viewed 15 April 2006): The Scary Movie franchise has been patchy at best. The first film attempted to parody Scream, a film that needed no parodying given that it was already a post-modern twist on the horror genre. It failed - as a film, not at the box office - because it virtually transcribed the Scream script while adding a few prat falls, pot jokes and bodily fluid comedy. It was not a clever parody in any sense of the word. It was simply dumb. The second film was even more unecessary, but it did well enough to warrant a third film. Scary Movie 3 is quite possibly the biggest turnaround in a franchise ever, with the Zuckers showing us how it should have been done from the start. As such, I was expecting funny things from the fourth entry. Sadly, it was at least 10 minutes into the film before I found myself laugh at anything, and the laughs after that came few and far between. The film, and the laughs, certainly picked up pace in the late second and final acts, although I fear this was too late. Highlights included anything with Leslie Nielsen and Ma Sheen, the Brokeback Moutain parody and the film's finest hour, the Million Dollar Baby send-up. The HOWLS of laughter from 5 year olds at all of the 'something/someone humps an object'/take a hit to the groin jokes indicated exactly what audience this was going for. Still, it kind of amused and any film that makes fun of Tom Cruise is fine by me, but a little too many 'fart jokes' for my taste: C

My little sister saw Scary Movie 4 tonight and she thinks that the parodies were the same as the previous Scary Movie's. The killing, the jokes, and all of it were basically the same but she said it's an "ok" movie. One thing is when she's getting ready to hit the theatre, she laughed and said, "Do you want to see Scary Movie 69: The pot-smoked edition"? I laughed my buns off endlessly when I heard that.

She had seen all of the 3 films and she liked Scary Movie 1 and 2 better.

I've seen Scary Movie 2 and I will planning to see it someday. If not, then I'll rent it when it comes out on DVD.
