So little time.

You of all people should know that an Oscar Best Picture is not indicative of quality.

It's odd that people diss the Oscars, but when the make a wrong choice, suddenly they mean something; don't respond, I'm just saying...

Not saying you can't like it, but what do you have against people who have movies like "Sin City" "Batman Begins" even "Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith" in their top 5?

Could you please address the question? You said the movie can't be the best of the year? Why?

WHat political messages?

There is absolutely ZERO political messages in the movie.

The people who make this dumb arguement, the one where Ang Lee is supposed to be inverting our American "values" through this concoction of his, seem to not know that the movie was based on an award-winning short story that was first published 10 years ago. Then again, the people who make those arguements don't seem like literary people (or smart people for that matter) at all. I should have known.

I've actually got to agree. Brokeback Mountain was not a very political movie, like Crash or Munich.

I just happen to think it was rather overrated.

Crash left? movies do not leave. They may leave theaters (Crash got a recent limited release), but they do not leave. Crash was still getting tons of attention up through Oscar day and continues to get the most now.

ZERO? :o I wouldn't say zero.

I knew it was based on a story though, it was actually written 9 years ago FYI.

Why does every message have to be a political one? Thank you for "answering" the question. You showed great thinking skills.
